how do i let students create pages that only each student and i can see, at least initially?

Inappropriate?Assuming this is a 2.0 wiki (and I think it may need to be a premium wiki but I'm not sure):
1. Create the page
2. Click on 'page security' in the bar on the right hand side of the screen
3. Click the 'custom security' radio button
4. Select the student's name in the drop down list
5. Click 'add user'
6. Click 'save'
Then only that student and the administrators (which is presumably just you) will have access to the page.
