Textile/Markdown markup
Textile or Markdown text editing capabilities. Please. The WYSIWYG editor makes me want to stab myself with sharp objects. It _constantly_ messes up what I'm trying to type, and switching to the "code" view makes the situation even worse.
I know you guys must have a billion things on your must-implement list, but as a heavy user of pbwiki, not having the ability to cleanly enter information seems crazy given the purpose of pbwiki! Just look at trends in web use over the past 10 years. WYSIWYG was supposed ot be the holy grail in the late 90s/early 00s, but has taken 2nd place to clean markup languages over the past 5 years.
From a desperate fan :).

Inappropriate?PBwiki 1.0 still supports a simple wiki style markup.
Just create a new wiki, be sure to uncheck the box next to Use PBwiki 2.0.
You will be able to switch back and forth between WYSIWYG and Wiki Style.
See http://newfaq.pbwiki.com for the manual for 1.0 wikis.

This info appears to no longer be valid. I see no 1.0 option and the newfaq link is currently broken.
I too am suffering with WYSIWYG and the amount of mouse clicking it requires to create page links. -
Our 1.0 wiki versions did allow Markup. Since our update to 2.0, we no longer support wiki markup languages. I'm sorry if this is not convenient for you. -
Inappropriate?I've put together a little survey to see what people prefer for markup. Check it out: http://luciddesign.co.nz/2009/2/9/tex...

Inappropriate?I added my 2 pennies.
I've used markup languages for years. They are fast once you catch on. However, I've used TinyMCE before and it's a great editor. The idea of using WYSIWYG is going to turn off a few old timers, but you'll get far more people to use the WYSIWYG.
Thanks for the chance to comment.
