Trapped in my own box?
When I started using this wiki, I didn't think through the structure well enough. So I set it up for this one course (I'm a teacher) - the name of the wiki and the front page were all about this one course. Now I'm going to start another course soon and what I'd like to do is to change the name of the wiki and have the front page (the one people sign into) be different than the one I have now. It would be a page that would link to both courses and probably a bunch of other stuff that we'd grow over the next few months. Can I do this? Can I change the name of the wiki (new address) and have a new front page?

Inappropriate?Hi CBone - we can't change the URL of a wiki for you, but if you'd like to create a new wiki, we can help you copy your information over. That way you can have all the old content, but the new name, and a new front page. You can also easily link the two by putting the URLs for the other wiki on the sidebar.
(Note - if you want to continue using PBwiki 1.0, you'll need to uncheck the box on step 3 of the wiki creation proccess).
Just contact support@pbwiki.com directly if this will work for you - we'll get this started.
I’m happy

If we create a new wiki, does my monthly paypal payment still work; or will I have to stop one payment and start another? -
Hi Cbone- you'll need to cancel the wiki subscription for the old wiki and start it up again with the new. -
Inappropriate? You can also keep the same URL, but change the title of the wiki - just go to Settings, Title should be the first field you see.
Best of luck!

Inappropriate?Okay. I think I'm getting the picture on this. New question. Could I copy the text and links currently on my front page, move that content to a new page, delete what's on my front page, and then add new content to the front page? I guess the base question I'm discovering I'm asking here is: Does the front page remain the front page regardless of the content that's on it? Will the initial log in to the wiki always take you to this front page?
I’m getting happier!

Inappropriate? The front page will always remain the same, no matter what the contents. You can copy and paste the front page's current information on to another page and then put whatever you want on the front page.
Hope this helps :)
