use of pbwiki for viewing students' work in filmmaking
I am teaching a class that involves a lot of filming. How effective is pbwiki in terms of sharing footage with a group in order to make suggestions about the film?

Inappropriate? We do support the embedding of many video hosting services such as Fliqz and YouTube.
When you edit a page, you can use the Insert Plugin button and choose the Video section to insert or upload videos.
Please visit our manual for more information about videos and many other features.

Clif, that's helpful. We have footage from I-Movie and would like to keep it for viewing among the students first -- by identifying which users can view the footage -- and not putting it up on YouTube at all. So, putting up footage that may be 15 to 30 minutes long -- is that too big a file to download onto PB wiki, and if so, how much should I upgrade?

Inappropriate?Hi Anne,
Uploading files over 30mb is often troublesome for many people. I haven't been able to find out why this is happening but one of our engineers is looking to improve this.
I recommend that you use our Fliqz plugin (labeled Upload Video) to attempt to upload your video. I don't believe that they have an upload limit and the videos do not have a public link so they will remain private as long as you do not share those links.
Let me know if you do have problems. In such a case it's best to report it to us directly. You can always contact us at any time by clicking on the "Help" link at the top of the wiki. Once you arrive at the help page, we list many areas of help that we can provide instantly by showing you the relevant manual page. At the very bottom, you can click the link which says "Contact the support team".
Thanks for asking. I'm always up for a challenge.
