Users cannot request access to private wiki.
My premium, private 2.0 wiki doesn't provide a "request access" button. In Security settings, there is nothing where there should be the option: "Let people request access to view or edit the wiki. Administrators will be notified when someone requests to join the wiki." It's completely missing.

Inappropriate?Hi Melissa,
The request access button should be on the login page. Try going to WIKINAME.pbwiki.com/login.php (replace WIKINAME with the name of your wiki). Does the request access button show up here? -
Inappropriate?Hi Melissa,
The option to allow users to request access to your wiki is in the Settings section. Click on Settings in the upper right of your screen, then go to the Wiki Security panel under Access Controls, click the checkbox next to "Let people request access to view or edit the wiki.", and click the Save button. Users will then see a button to request access to your wiki when they go to it and don't have access. -
Inappropriate?I know, that's why in my original posting I specifically said that the Request Access button is not showing and the settings--> security page text you're referring to, with the check box, is completely missing from that very page. Thanks for trying, though. I have opened this as a help incident through the Contact Us webform and have sent Rachel some screen shots demonstrating that those objects are not displaying.

Inappropriate?Rachel got this fixed. She "forcibly added" the feature to my wiki. Yay, Rachel!
I’m happy and thankful
