Why are PBWiki URLs case sensitive?
When I create a page called Courses in dcam.pbwiki.com, and link to it, it creates the link dcam.pbwiki.com/Courses
If I type the URL dcam.pbwiki.com/courses into the browser (Firefox) I am brought to "Create a new page" called "courses". Note it is not capitalized.
Are URL's case sensitive or am I mistaken? Why is this, I suspect it will only add to confusion when sharing URLs.

Inappropriate?Hi Nathyn,
Case sensitive URLs are not new on the internet, but they are very prevalent in most wikis such as ours.
In older days, we used wiki markup language that recognized CamelCase words as a link to a new page. The new page always had Upper and Lower case characters in it.
I realize that we've come a long way since then, but we can't make the case insensitive now. If we did, many of the older wikis here would suddenly only have one page when before they had two or more pages.
Example of case sensitive pages in older wikis.
DoggOne
DogGone
DoGgone
All valid pages.

Inappropriate? Thanks for the response. Now I just have to work out a naming convention. If anyone has any advise it is welcome!

Inappropriate? There aren't many limits to what you can use for page names. My only advice is to avoid using special characters in names.
The "." dot character is not allowed and most of the special characters make page names look very strange in a URL.
Example: "My+PBwiki+Account+-+Basics" looks like this.
http://pbwikimanual.pbwiki.com/My%2BP...
It's allowed but looks odd. As you can see, the plus symbols got changed into %2B in the URL.
Good luck to you.
