Why can't any of my v1.0 users log into v2.0?
i figure if I post here & submit a ticket, I'll have better luck, as I need an answer fast.
I upgraded to v2.0 tonite and am immediately regretting it. Here's what happened:
I upgraded. I then added the email addresses of the previous users. In v1.0, we all used an Invite Key, or whatever they were called, and folks didn't have individual passwords. This was incredibly nice, and I miss it already.
When I added the user email addresses, it included my secondary email address (my test account). At my secondary email account, I received an invite to join. Odd, since I was already a member during v1.0.
I followed the link, where it asked for my password. I entered the Invite Key from 1.0. No dice. I tried everything I could think of - but I was unable to log into the wiki even though I was a member with that email address in v1.0.
I don't have the most technically apt users. It took forever to get them comfortable with the wiki. If they can't log in come morning, they'll run away from the wiki again.
Please help!

Inappropriate?Hi Michelle,
PBwiki 2.0 requires that all users have PBwiki Accounts- there are no invite keys, which is why existing members will not be able to access until they create an account.
Part of the wiki update procedure includes notifying all your users that they need to create PBwiki Accounts. When you got an invite email, the first step (where it asks for a password) is asking you to create a PBwiki Account.
I hope this helps clear things up - just let me know if I can be of further help :)

Inappropriate?I upgraded one of my wikis: http://squeak.pbwiki.com to Version 2 yesterday. In the update process, the screen said an email would be sent to 104 users of my wiki. The problem is, I don't have 104 users for that wiki. I did not want 104 emails sent out to people during the update process and there was no check box to prevent it from happening. Who were these 104 emails? We need to have an option to prevent this from happening during updates. I have a number of wikis to upgrade to Version 2 and I don't want emails flying all over cyberspace.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave - if you want to contact us directly, you can use the "help" link on your wiki to get in touch with support.
Generally though, while your wiki is in the 1.0 version, please go to "Settings" and then "users" You can purge people from this list that you do not want invitations to go to, then try running through the migration tool again.
