Why does seeing the admin's profile in 2.0 beta require the user to login?
In Firefox, I just set up a wiki in 2.0. I also configured my personal settings with my Web site (a LinkedIn page). So far, so good.
Then in IE7, I visited the wiki's home page, without logging in, to see what would happen. When I clicked on my own name-link to see where I'd go, I was asked to log in.
The settings page had indicated that anonymous users would see an actual link to my LinkedIn page, which is what I'd hoped would happen. But then in operation it didn't seem to work that way.

Inappropriate? It sounds like you're talking about the 'Profile' tab under 'my.pbwiki.com'. I've been using PBwiki a long time, and I've never seen the "here's how your profile will appear to anonymous users' profile view ever displayed. I just spent a few minutes poking around my wikis, and I can't find anyplace where it's displayed, logged in or not. I've always just ignored those settings.

Inappropriate?Currently, the only place I can think of where any significant portion of the profile information is shown is the Comments page on 1.0 wikis.
