Inappropriate? The key to getting it to work is the ALIGN attribute in the IMG tag.
As long as you're comfortable working with HTML, you'll want to take a look at http://www.nmacmillan.com/images.htm#... for more details.
I’m in dire need of a HTML refresher course

Inappropriate?Clif also posted a great FAQ on this topic. You can find it here: http://pbwikicentral.pbwiki.com/WrapT...
I’m glad we have Clif!

Inappropriate? After you insert an image, right-click on it and select 'Image Properties'. A screen will pop up where you can select the 'align' property. It sounds like you want to choose either left or right alignment.
This is probably easier to do if you insert the images after you've entered all the text.
I’m working on the next version of PBwiki!

Inappropriate?Thanks Rachel.
I have a newer FAQ using the Point and Click editor.

Inappropriate? Is there a way I can wrap text around a photo or an object. I tried aligning the image and for some reason that didn't work in terms of aligning text.
I’m curious and wanting to make a better looking webpage.
-
Inappropriate?yeah, I find that when I choose align=left or right, the image clears the sidebar and ends up way down at the bottom. Is there a way to get around this problem? Floating an image seems like a basic need.
I’m puzzled

Inappropriate?Hi Becky and John,
Can you supply me with an image and tell me how you want it to appear. I'll see what I can do to fix up a HOW-TO page for you.
In the mean time, did you see this page?

I’m hoping this helps

Inappropriate?sure, here's a photo (from freefoto.com):

Alright, so I went ahead and upgraded to the "new tabbed sidebar" and that took care of the problem I was having, not sure why. Basically what was happening was, when I chose Left or Right aligned in Image Properties, the image then cleared the sidebar.
I’m finding out that apparently adopting latest and greatest does sometimes help
-
Ironically, the "new tabbed sidebar" has been discontinued in the *new* V2.0 PBwiki. -
That's actually pretty hilarious... I don't suppose floating objects is easier in v2.0? ;) -
Well, the entire page is split into columns (using a table - how 20th century!), so there's no problem with the sidebar interfering with page content. Now, the only thing that will screw up your page is the editor! -
Inappropriate?this Doesnt work neither of them do/ if you post a reply please make sure that they work or else the person trying to use it has trouble using something that you sugested. so seriosuly you need to watch what you post thank byeeeeee;]
I’m frustrated

Inappropriate?Hi Madeline,
Thanks for telling us that you have a problem. I just tested the image properties in Firefox, Google Chrome and IE7 browsers. I had no problems.
Can you tell me what web browser you are using and what operating system you have on your PC?
Also, can you tell me where the problem is?
Do you see the image handles (little squares) when you left click on an image you've placed?
Do you see the image properties on an image after you've selected it and right clicked on it?
Are you able to make changes to the image properties?
When you save the page, do the changes you made appear?
Thanks again.

Inappropriate? It's a pity this is not a standard option in the insert picture function of PBWiki and you have to edit source code!
I’m confused
-
Inappropriate?Hi Thierry, sorry for the confusion.
You may be reading some of the information that's left from an older version of PBworks. Image alignment is easily done without hacking the source code.
You can set your image alignment to wrap text around the picture. To do this, go into edit mode and right-click (or control-click on the Mac) the image. From the menu that pops up, you'll want to choose "Image Properties." You can then set the image alignment.
See this page for more tips:

(see the alignment option in this image dialog?)
