I had the exact same problem yesterday (the velcro tore a hole in my shorts) - and came to this website to report this issue. I tried to configure the bag to the seatpost and not have the strap rub my shorts (and be secure), but couldn't get it to work. I ended up putting the bag into my waterbottle holder - and I'll be buying a new, different one today. The issue may have to do with smaller saddles? My saddle is pretty small and so this might bring the leg in closer to the strap? Anyway, sucks that my nice Pearl Izumi shorts are now ruined due to this flaw in the bag design.

I have a small messenger bag that was given to me by a friend. The bag is in excellent+ condition as he never used it as it was too small, and I have only used it a few times.
The velcro strips are completely clean and look new, but they don't stick very well. I tried the ebay link with the comb but there is no fuzz or lint in it at all.
What should I do?

Derek: www.zeropergallon.com is the guy that makes the "$0.00 9/10" (zero per gallon) patches, stickers and some other related things and you can order them from his site (paypal payments). There's also local stores (especially in SF) that sell them. www.zeropergallon.com/stores
