Thanks for the feedback and blog on the solar panel. I'm going to pass it on to our product development people. They're very active on this site so they've probably already seen your post. I know they're kicked this idea around some - but don't think that there's any immediate plans. And you're right on the environmental point. We're spending a lot of resource effort in developing bags made from completely green materials and other technologies that limit our overall environmental impact. Here's a link on the lamitron bags we're developing made from recycled shopping bags.

Its "Your Mileage May Vary" an allusion to the disclaimer from the auto industry that MPG ratings may be different depending on the user e.g. "your needs/experience may be different" check out www.urbandictonary.com

Hi Banane
If you like having a few more pockets and compartments to keep stuff the commute is great and it provides a little more protection for the laptop. I carry the laptop messenger because it has clean classic lines and I loved being able to customize the colors through the "build your own" option. The commute is probably more similar to a backpack in features but both sound like they'd work for you. For size I think the medium is the better choice. Fits a laptop nicely and it sounds like you do want additional room for more things - the small is likely too small for your needs.-
