KatGamer asked a question in Twitter on September 06, 2008 05:26:
Tweets with no spaces break twitter. Can you prevent tweets with no spaces like this? http://twitter.com/jessamyn/statuses/... It broke the entire front page of Twitter as shown in my screenshot.

Jay: I support your idea too, but still think Twitter should harvest the easy pickings as well. That 'the6figureteam' bot hasn't yet "responded in kind", but still spawns multiple 'users' that plague Twitter. – Eridanus, on August 21, 2008 09:11

Good idea. Hopefully Twitter will take a look at that. – mdoeff, on August 21, 2008 03:45

Spammers have responded in kind and now have the notion of at least a few entries rather than a URL in the Profile.
As part of the spy vs. spy escalation, I'd appreciate you taking a look at my idea as well http://gsfn.us/t/khp
Thanks!

He actually recently said that the implementation on twitter.com is still in the works: http://groups.google.com/group/twitte... – Thomas, on August 19, 2008 18:04

Dude, they JUST implemented this on the backend, I'm sure it will be on the site soon enough. You're angry that they haven't done it in just a few days? – Thomas, on August 19, 2008 12:55

I've browsed around a bit and found "www.freemyfeed.com", which makes a new rss feed that works in bloglines, google reader, ... you have to supply the originial rss feed (at the bottom of your updates page) and your username and password.
Btw, why does twitter require authentication to get an rss feed with all the updates of people that somebody is following?
Surely there could be people who'd want to "outsource" their following to somebody else (like scoble) and want to see exactly what this other person is seeing. A public rss feed with all the updates that somebody else gets would then be useful. There could an option to make this feed public or private, to ensure that you're ok with making this info public.

I have the same problem with bloglines. I get the message: "No feeds were found. Please verify that the website publishes an RSS feed. " from bloglines when I click on the rss button on the bottom of my updates page. Is it at all possible to get an rss feed with all the updates of everyone i'm following?
