Hi Ceaser, we are constantly facing growing pains and how to scale certain parts of our service. We've always tried to be as transparent about this as possible, and know that we especially have problems with site wide tags. If there's other issues you've encountered, we'd like to hear the specifics.
However, I'd also suggest you read this: http://www.ccpact.com/. We think it represents the best way for customers and companies to work together to help improve their services.

Is being down the new IT thing to do?What's up with the down sections of Ma.gnolia? Are they growing pains or bad server issues?

We had one person who posted content that was clearly pornographic and against the TOS that was listed.
The content was removed and the account flagged - so the person would have to contact us to get it active again.
The goal is to have private videos and also a Group feature. This will allow people to find and enjoy other people while offering a virtual "screen" for those who do not want to see any of that.

Yes we did it ONCE, during SXSW, a guy posted ten pr0n videos... we deleted the videos and the account. – Thomas Knoll, on April 18, 2008 17:38

I don't personally know what is people's private posts, I just know that we moderate nudity in public posts. – Thomas Knoll, on April 17, 2008 15:11

Our seesmic community guidelines address this issue rather clearly. In particular:
Don’t show nudity in public posts.
This is pretty simple. Keep your clothes on in posts that are accessible to the general community.
and
Don’t break the law
If you upload content that is illegal or prohibited by law, your account will be terminated. In this case we will also have to take appropriate action, which may include reporting you to the authorities.

I guess this will always be an issue in times of user-generated content. You let people upload whatever they want, and they will do just that - and occasionally this will include things other people might not be happy to see. Ning (http://ning.com) had problems with this, and I believe Marc Andreessen dealt with it very nicely - read his post at http://blog.pmarca.com/2008/01/porn-n... . I expect Loic and the rest of the staff, who seem to be smart people, will also be as reasonable as that.

I don't know, I just find it very likely. Because "she" added me as a contact, and because a look at "her" bookmarks makes me suspicious:
