We've temporarily de-prioritized work on the USB mass storage device. Once we have the cycles, we'll be either updating our USB mass storage add-on or rolling that code into the core. Until then, you can find the track on your hard drive by using the location column (available in the column picker, upper right of the library playlist) and copying the tracks outside of Songbird.

To use your clip, you'll need to be on Windows and have the MTP Device Support add-on installed. Install the add-on, plug your clip in, and it should appear in the service pane.

frans, I'm not sure what is causing your problem. I couldn't find a bug that matches your particular issue. I would try re-scanning your media and see if that helps.

The feature you're looking for is handled by something we call a Watch Folder. It is one of our most requested features and is something we're working on in a future release.

Go to the view menu and open the Service Pane Bottom. Click the upper right corner and select the Album Art Manager. Hide the right display pane by clicking in the upper right corner and selected hide. That should do it.

Thanks for the report. I've seen this problem before but have not been able to figure out what/why it happens. I remember that it was a per track problem, that is, this only happens for some tracks in a collection.

We have bug 5925 open, which sounds close to this problem. I've added your comments from this post to that bug.

We initially allowed for all the columns to be selected as filters but found that a lot of them didn't make sense. We ended up, after much discussion, on the options you see in the latest build. I'll make sure the product team see your post.

Thanks for the feedback.

- We've been setting aside a portion of each release to tackle performance related issues like start-up time and performance with large libraries.

- As for the choppy seekbar, I'm not sure there's much we can do there. I'll check with the birdbuilders on that.

- We've got bug 1809 open for minimizing the mini.

- As for songs that don't play, we will be releasing our new media core, GStreamer, in the upcoming 0.7 release. We'll be steadily adding support for codecs going forward. Hopefully we'll be able to play all of your tracks very soon.

- Watch Folders have been high on the list of priorities but won't make 0.7. Look for this feature by the end of the year.

It sounds like you've collapsed a filter pane. Try uncollapsing them by dragging them open from the edge of the filter that is still there. If you can't re-open them, you can always try deleting your profile and starting from scratch. I've filed bug 11300 to not allow the filter panes to collapse since we've been seeing a lot of feedback like this.
