You can't take your number. So basically you have to decide how much your number is worth. the only way to hold on to a number is by paying the cancellation fee.
BTW, I found a website for Canadians to exchange their cell phone contracts: cellclients.com
I used them last year but I'm going to use them again when the damn iPhone gets here!

I think you are confusing us with someone else, as none of that is accurate at all. – seanbonner, on May 27, 2008 15:24

Not sure who "one with the gun" is but we don't advertise on craigslist and all authors are volunteer (so i have no idea where that $35 a month thing is coming from). That said, if you want to contribute in San Jose definitely the best thing to do is post in the comments on the blog and let the authors know you are interested and they are the ones who can get you up and running.

nobody seems to know. seems there are some guess of 2 years and 5 years.

from the rumor mill it seems ATT is going to start subsidizing the v2 iphone coming out in June if you sign up for a two year contract. I doubt they would do this if it was a 5 year deal. Sounds like they want to lock most users through mid 2010 so they can't move when the exclusive expires...

I have to be honest: I was very skeptical of AT&T. I switched from Verizon just to get the iPhone. I've been pretty happy, although, yes, the coverage isn't quite as good as Verizon. But, it's pretty close.
I think that maybe the iPhone partnership gave AT&T a kick in the pants to make their online billing and communications with customers better. And, they seem to have also not tried to trick me into additional services or purchases. I think that Apple's partnership really helped bring me over to the idea of using AT&T. I'll stick with them as long as they keep treating me the way they have been -- or until Apple makes deals with other carriers!

Jay Allen replied on March 21, 2008 07:36 to the question "Can I just use a stylus with my iPhone, for easier typing?" in Apple:
The key to typing on the iPhone is this: Stop looking at the letters that are being inserted; only look at your keys. Then type as fast as your fingers will allow.
Before I explain, jut try it... No peeking at the results. Just the keyboard!
So, here's the deal: The iPhone has an awesome proximity-based spell check. What that means is when you fat finger a letter or twenty the iPhone will automatically show you (but not directly since you're not looking at anything except the keyboard!) possible dictionary matches for words which use letters CLOSE to the ones you hit. This is very different from normal spell check which does alphabetic proximity.
So, when you screw up a word, the iPhone displays its best guess as to what it thinks you meant and then when you insert any character that is a word boundary, it drops that replacement in place. After using your phone for just a little while, it's *incredibly* accurate. I actually type nearly as fast on the iPhone as I do on a regular keyboard!
So, the key to effortless typing is to trust that the phone will do the right thing. Right in line with Apple's basic design principles, don't you think?

I've got GH3 for the wii. It's actually a very popular platform for the game. I like it because you get vibration and a speaker in the controller (Plus, I don't have a PS3 or Xbox, so my choices were limited). If you have one of the next gen consoles, I think it would be a better experience since the wii doesn't have downloadable content (although there are rumors and petitions floating around)
