No, I'm staying out of the world of telecommunications. It's still in my blood, but I don't want to do it for a living. – michaelicious, on June 21, 2008 19:16

If you like the 8320 from T-Mobile, you should check out the 8330 from Sprint! It's like a completely different device. Fast internet, 3G, built in GPS, Sprint TV, Sprint Radio, all the fun stuff. I had the 8320 from T-Mobile and sold it to my brother when I stopped working for T-Mobile. He is so jealous of my Sprint Curve, and all it can do. Sadly, he will be going to AT&T when the iPhone 3G releases.

I can't answer the data loss question for sure. That was my experience. It could have been a fluke.
Yes I do have the 2 systems. I happen to love Palm Desktop and honestly don't "use" outlook but just back up to it. (And use Thunderbird for mail.)
There is some way to sync the Blackberry to Thunderbird but it wasn't quite simple enough for me to figure out...yet.

I just came back from a mechanic who confirmed that the problems I've been having with reversing on my 2002 Jetta GLS are caused by a problem transmission. Apparently, VW used to have a 10 yr, 100000 mile warranty on powertrain but reduced the warranty after they had to keep replacing transmissions. My car only has 46000 miles on it !!

Try plugging in both devices into your computer and start the import. Memos and Calendar worked fine. Apparently Addresses has a known bug. A blog I found says it's necessary to export your addresses from Palm, import them into Outlook, then sync outlook to the Curve. This is due to a Palm Desktop issue.
I think there are other articles on the net about this.
When the Curve runs out of memory it deletes old calendar entries even if you have it set not to. This is critical to know obviously. I now sync my Curve out Outlook and keep Palm Desktop with my old data.

We have a 2002 Jetta GLX that my wife drives with only 35,000 miles and have had problems with the tranny shifting hard between 1st and 2nd. We have mentioned it to the dealer a number of times when it has been in for service. Both before and after warrenty. the reason I would take it back to the dealer was to have it documented in case we had any further problems. They said that they checked the codes and nothing shows up but have reset tranny settings only to have it do it again after a while. Sounds like even thought it has been mention every time we had service they are not going to stand behind it. We are thinking of trading it in to a relative that sells cars but don't want to give him problems either. He has a small dealership and prides himself on the vehicles he sells. It has not been a big problem as of yet but we don't want it to be for the next person either. After doing this research now we will not buy another new VW. My wife also has a '77 bug convertable and I wish she could drive that year round.....At least I can work on it ! Well good luck Greg as we hope to trade ours off in the next day or 2 if our relative thinks he can unload it somewhere ! Oh yeah ! We Love the Jetta and that is really the only problem we have had with it other than the recalls and winter driving which Bridgestone Blizzak tires relly really help with.
