Patti R asked a question in Twitter on October 17, 2008 22:58:
Does twitter fb app support multiple twitter accounts?I want to add a different twitter account to the facebook page I admin. Can I do this? Or does the fb twitter app only link to one twitter account?

This can shed some light on why we got the cease and desist:

Patti R replied on May 05, 2008 17:28 to the question "where is the large cargo tote?" in Timbuk2:
They're still available in 6 colors:

just not in the custom bag builder.
The custom Cargo Totes are made in our SF manufacturing facility and while we hope to offer more sizes *and* color options we limited the launch to mediums-only in the bag builder.
Hope that helps.
Patti R replied on May 05, 2008 17:24 to the question "a few considerations for a custom messenger bag" in Timbuk2:
I can't comment on the XL- I have an old El Ocho size.
Q: "When you don't want the bag divided, you can velcro it shut and you have the whole big open area in the bag like the divider's not even there, right?"
A: yes- exactly. It aligns with the back of the bag and lays flat so you have full capacity.
Q: "Then, when you do open it up, how far does it stick out? Is it like a small pocket or is it like the size of half the bag (say, something you could get a nice, thick phone book or two into)?"
A: Because it isn't constructed with a pleated bottom, it wouldn't fit two phone books. It's basically two pieces of nylon sewn into the back seam of the bag with a velcro closure. I posted an illustration here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/timbuk2/...
Q: "Is it the slightly reflective stuff that's been discontinued?"
A: Nope. X-Pac is actually a sail cloth that is lighter weight than ballistic but very durable. We have two colors of x-pac in the bag builder right now. X-Pac is not reflective. Probably the most obvious aesthetic is that it has a tonal diamond pattern.
Hope that helps.

Howdy BagFetishist,
The above is damn-close to being true but those sizes do not translate *exactly* to the new sizing.
I have an El Ocho from 1998 and I just compared it to a current medium.
The top flap at it's widest point on my El Ocho is 17.5 inches, the current medium is 19 inches. The base on my El Ocho is 11.5 inches and the current medium is 14.5 inches.
Suffice it to say, the current medium is about 25% larger than the El Ocho.

Patti R replied on March 05, 2008 03:03 to the problem "Does the Classic Sleeve discolor the black MacBook?" in Timbuk2:
Hi Travis,
I spoke to one of our super-knowledgeable product design folks and after looking at your images he's sure that what is happening is that the corduroy liner and the macbook outer shell share the same chemical components and hence, are bonding.
Crazy but true.

Customer service and product development need to circle the wagons and come up with a resolution for you.

Patti R replied on March 03, 2008 16:45 to the question "How do I become a product tester for the Lamitron Bags?" in Timbuk2:
hello t.z0n3,
Sorry for the delayed response.
We've been working with Rootphi (the guys who make the Reclaim "fabric" that the Lamitron bags are built with) to make prototypes bags for the past 6 months.
We've had a tough time finding a good solution that will address some of the inconsistencies in the fabric (some times the fabric is made of 4-5 layers of plastic, sometimes only 2). This is the nature of the small-scale-prototyping beast. We're in the process of updating the Lamitron information on the website with the following:
"Update 2/28/08
We hit a wall.
No one likes to hit a wall but with new types of products and technologies there are costs and time associated with research and development that can reveal more costs and time associated with research and development that can reveal more costs and time associated with research and development. You get the point.
Our efforts to consistently produce Timbuk2-quality bags on RootPhi’s small scale lamitron machine did not prove successful. Lucky for us, Rootphi is relentless in their pursuit to find a large scale solution for producing the Reclaim fabric to be used in all kinds of products.
On the bright side: together, Rootphi and Timbuk2 have made great advancements with Reclaim making it closer to its inevitable commercial reality. What we can’t tell you is when Lamitron will be available so from this point, you can stop holding your breath and saving your money.
Purchase wisely- your consumer dollar is your biggest weapon against mass produced, short-life, landfill-bound, crap ass bags.
Love, Timbuk2"
Patti R replied on March 03, 2008 16:37 to the question "Why were you folks not displaying at Macworld this year?" in Timbuk2:
Hi rkevwill,
We had a TON of stuff going on and the beginning of the year:
Warehouse move
Final planning for our updated San Francisco manufacturing facility
Unwrapping piles on piles of Christmas gifts (okay- that was mostly just me :)
We are scheming something cool for January 2009. Our new factory tour will be in full swing (we're just a 10 minute taxi ride from the convention) and are considering throwing a little Macworld party.
Sorry we missed you this year.
Patti R replied on March 01, 2008 20:49 to the question "What are the dimensions that the City Pass will hold?" in Timbuk2:
Boo!!!
Hi Douglas- we took all the city passes off the timbuk2.com website.
Your safe with any entry card that is 3.5" x 2" or smaller.
But don't despair- you can still find a few out on the internets:

Hi Pineapple,
We get this size reference request a lot.
We will be adding a basic size reference image (probably comparing the bag to a case of PBR beer) soon.
For now, I found some community images on flickr that might be helpful:

We'll let you know when we get our size references up for the Market tote sizes.
