trufula asked a question in Apple on September 21, 2009 14:00:
MacBook Pro laptop monitor won't light upI put my MacBook pro to sleep as usual, closing the cover, and this morning the monitor won't light up. I restarted it and it seems to start fine but the laptop monitor is completely black. The battery was almost dead at the time I had put it to sleep although it was plugged in and charging all night. Ideas? Thanks!
(PS this better get fixed quickly or I'll have to really razz on all my mac loving coworkers, as I'm typing this using XP) :)

Are you going to have a plan for startup budget sizes that allows deleting spam from a community I am managing? Are you going to have a plan for startup budget sizes that allows deleting spam from a community I am managing? The current plans aren't realistic and deleting spam posts is the killer feature that makes it viable for a small business to use GS.

Why have checkboxes to filter search results when you require another click to check multiple boxes?First, it's incredible that there is no visible way on Ebay to send them feedback. I care enough about this usability issue that I hope someone will see it and have an aha moment. At first glance seeing all the ways I can filter searches is thrilling. But the second I check one (especially with shoe sizes where I'm sure I"m not alone I want to check 2 with one being half a size different) I then have to click a link which launches a window where I have to find what else to check.
Totally a pain and this happens with EVERY filter which multiples my effort.

Main dashboard content not loading in Firefox 3/XPHi, One of my project dashboard loads but for 2 projects only the nav buttons and search field loads. Nothing happens when I click them.
This is in FF3 / XP.
I tried in IE6 on XP and it worked fine even though I know you don't support the browser.
This problem did not occur several days ago.
Thanks

Change the INVITING contacts to filter their mail into ADDING contacts to filter mailI'm not going to "invite" people I never talk to to connect with me in order to filter their message.
I might however add them as important contacts whose mail I want filtered.
I won't however log into my mail every day and look at the prompt to do this. I'm sure I'm not the only person shocked that Yahoo doesn't allow you to "opt out of being prompted to turn mail into a social network."
Might this be in the works? please say yes. I hope those with the power to do so are still working at Yahoo :)

Workaround for Yahoo Address book Mail Classic nicknames not workingThe idea I'm sharing is to redo your nicknames like speed dial. And if you write to a couple of people 80% of the time, nickname them 1, 2 etc. instead of using letters, so the address book doesn't get confused.
Obviously I'm suggesting this assuming Yahoo won't be fixing the nickname problem.
(Nicknames work in the New (outlook like) mail, just not the "improved" mail classic)

Yahoo address book in Classic Mail - nicknames do not workNone of my nicknames work anymore where I used to be able to hit 1 letter to make someone come up, in Mail Classic.
They work in the "new" Yahoo mail.
So like, my nickname r now does not work. Instead a completely unalphebetized list of R people come up, not in order of alphabet. (ro then ri etc).
It appears you are sorting to first show people matching by their last name, then single initial nickname, then first name
jerry smith
jerry sob
j (nickname) janet harris
ann johnson
Broken. Please fix. I might have your sorting logic wrong, but whatever it is isn't working right.

After reading this thread, and recent performance complaints, I still didn't see a good answer to the question about how much funding SocialGo has etc. It's great to be able to export your data but a serious drag if members would need to sign up again somewhere else if SocialGo socialstops. Thanks for any more info to give me confidence!

It's been impossible to find this on the Internet or Dell's site. Thanks

Not clear how to add a new topic after adding oneI'm not clear if "start a topic" refers to the company whose page I'm on since it's next to the "find a company". Does that button refer to the company I've found with the search widget?
I'm asking since I noticed after I add an issue it's not clear how to add another one. I keep clicking the Topics tab again to get back to the page to add one.
No need to respond, just feedback.

Going to a new company from a company's page doesn't workMaybe I still don't get the UI but here is what I was trying to do:
I was on a company's support page.
Then in the blue bar next to "Find a Company" I entered Get Satisfaction and clicked on your name.
I remained on the company's page I was on.
I expected to be taking to the GS support page.
Using FF on XP.

If there isn't a new product I am not able to add one (the + doesn't work).
trufula asked a question in Naymz on September 22, 2008 14:14:
What is the Naymz privacy policy? The privacy policy is pretty long. Because the service entails sensitive information it would help to have a bulleted summary of how you use and protect my information. What would be really helpful too is if you included high points from your partner's privacy policies as well.
Thanks.

I appreciate your usabilityIn the "oddest comments you've received department," I wanted to applaud GS for your usability in terms of dark text and text that contrasts well against the backgrounds. I am soooooo flumoxed by how many websites - including Microsoft and Yahoo - that have disregarded usability in favor of artsy looking designs that I thought I should tell you one person appreciates your choosing usability over "elegance." And by doing that, you are elegant!
