Since DOPPLR is about travelling, I would think that the contacts page could have an travel-related focus. How about organising it by:
- Distance to you
- Frequency of contact (joint travels or visits to their home town)
- (further down the road) why not give you a rough estimate of how much it would cost to visit each contact (average/median price)
I'm thinking of something like:
----------------------------------------------------------
John Doe
Paris, 213 miles away, 2hrs by train
You haven't met John for more than 6 months
You could be there for only £76 by Eurostar
----------------------------------------------------------
That could encourage people to hook up more frequently. On the other hand, I'm not sure if this would best fit the 'Manage Contacts' page or the 'Fellow Travellers' overview.

Hello Ben! It's ok - you can say Tripit! ;-) They have a great product for working with trips once they're already booked as you say, and as you know we're really looking at helping you before that point - exploring the potential of your trip and seeing who's going to be there etc... - Our new import features might help you tie the two together in a way that works for you. One user and blogger has already posted about this: http://www.andrewferrier.com/blog/200...
Hope that helps and see you in SF!

Hi Jauder - as you know we've got output to iCal right now, but rest assured we're working hard on (multiple) easy ways to get information into Dopplr too, with export from your favourite calendaring tools being one leading scenario that's been requested by many Dopplr users. Thanks for the feedback and stay tuned...
