Firefox add-on version 0.6.17 "My Friends" & Add to favorites not working.I am using the FIREFOX ADD-ON version 0.6.17.
The "My Friends" option is not working. It does not change anything on my browser to
go to where that information is located. It will deliver the "Activities" screen instead.
I tried to track the song Lottergirls - Never Say Never
( URL http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fus... )
streamed from Myspace but it would not pick up the session even after I replayed it
4 times. I finally had to use the "ADD TO FAVORITES" feature in the ADD-ON to snag it
but that was only successful after my 4th replay. Meanwhile, it will give the POP UP
notice that it has been added even when nothing happened.
I must say the TWONES developers are pretty good - your ADD-ON knows how to lie to me. LOL (just joking!)
Can you please look into these gremlins?
Thanks.
p.s. Firefox version 3.5.3 without any other add-ons
Bébé asked a question in Twones on November 04, 2009 15:29:
Please increase the character count for SHOUT-OUTS / Shout-out responsesLength of text allowed for shout-out... I noticed that when I responded to a shout by Robbert for one of his suggested songs, my sentence was truncated. It was only after I had posted my shout when I saw that I had exceeded the text/character limit.
1. Can you increase the limit on the text and
2. Can you implement a counter so when we type, it will show the number of characters
remaining?
Thanks:)

Hi Robbert,
Thank you very much for shedding the light and for your candid answer. I am excited to see the next build come Christmas time. Will it be rolled out before wonderful Xmas Day?
Will it address the problem where the TWONES script guesses the wrong song?
I tried out with the song by DJ Paul V (I Like Ghosts Better) over 2 days and each time the guessing did not work and it just skipped down to my next item on my list.
This happened even when the original song tracked was from streammed from Youtube itself. (There are 2 copies on Youtube incidentally -
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1DwF2...
and
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g9uR5N...
You can look at my play history if you want to re-create what I've described.
Please keep me posted. Many thanks :) again for being upfront with me.

What are the conditions (other than tracks no longer available) to trigger the transparent switch to automatically stream from Youtube?I noticed that when I replay previously played songs (from a few months back), the track(s) seem to be streamed from youtube instead.
(I know you have mentioned using youtube as a "fallback" for songs no longer available on the Net.)
I can appreciate and understand the "design" intent if the original source is no longer available and thus the "built in smarts" to locate the same off the vast pool from Youtube.
However, I also noticed that this was also the case even though the original song is still available.
What is the criteria TWONES is employing to render such "decisions" ?.
Does this happen also with all tracked songs (both tagged in playlists and those not placed into playlists)?
Is there a "time trigger" which TWONES set to replace the original source with a Youtube version after a certain amount of time?
I don't exactly like the idea of this "invisible" assumption (for all tracks?) to automatically switch to use tracks off Youtube. The quality of the audio streams "extracted" from the Youtube videos for obvious reasons since they vary so much from lackluster monoaural rips to maybe 125kbps AAC stereo.
Does the same "assumption" in this design intent apply to songs we play via our own WinAMP player with songs on a user's local drive as well?
Could you shed some light on what is going on and maybe allow a user to make a choice to disable this "design"?
Or perhaps you can allow a way to visibly flag a track so the user will know that the original song is no longer available... instead of making it transparent on the assumption that the user doesn't really care.
Is this because you have summarily decided by the "powers that be" at TWONES that THIS is the only way. Maybe there are other TWONES users who are just as discriminating in their taste and expectations for audio quality or we are in the minority.
Since this is in beta, have your analysis of the demographics of your intended and target audience steered you towards this "design"?
(referring to the availability of source versus quality, elapsed time of last tracked play, and integrity of originally played/tracked source
I know I have raised several points and a couple of alternatives. I do hope you will kindly shed some light on this?
I understand that Youtube has a huge pool of music videos (both from the labels and "grey area/questionable" rips from ardent fans/subscribers) and that Youtube has recently "relaxed" in some of their "take down"
policies on user /third party music video uploads.
I hope you won't give me a vague one sentence answer.
Many thanks:)
P.S. I still cannot log in to submit this via the feedback feature on TWONES and had to log directly at the getsatisfaction, com site

User defined tracker for personal tracks - on legitimate hosting services online.User defined "entries"
Would you consider adding a feature which allows a user to set a tracker for user mp3 files which are being hosted privately on legitimate hosting sites such as getdropbox.com, soundcloud.com ?
(NOTE: Soundcloud supports MP3, AAC, FLAC, OGG, AIFF, WAVE files.)
Presently, you allow songs on the user's own PC to be tracked via the playbacks on WinAmp.
Thanks

Just out of curiosity, did someone turned off the lights to conserve energy or it was raining outside in the photo that day?
-------and now for a curious question ---------------
What happened to the small near realtime littke scroller "shout out/small impromptu message" panel on the right?

I did not make any changes. Everything just acted normally again the after some 24 hours...in fact, I had left the PC running with the same browser window I had last sent in the trouble ticket with this issue. – Bébé, on October 29, 2009 17:19

Feedback Tab - Cannot login from that pop up dialogue box to submit feedback.Feedback tab - I tried to submit earlier using the Feedback tab but it just did not accept anything. The login details are correct. So I went ahead and logged into getsatisfaction.com/twones directly in the same browser but using a new tab.
I went back to the twones main page and refreshed the session. I proceeded to attempt the feedback again. When it came time to log in using the prompted dialog in that feedback window... nothing happened... it just would not accept. (I am using the lastest stable release of Firefox 3.5.3 and not using any weird or restrictive add-ons.)
So I finally gave up and sent in my feedback on the twones getsatisfaction.com main page. (I got NO satisfaction in this instance. LOL just joking!)
Can someone take a look and see if this is just an isolated case for me or it is happening to others?
Thanks!

How do I include my favourite playlists from Mixpod into my twones?I enjoy several playlists on Mixpod.com However, I have not been able to get anything tracked to be included in my twones. ( Example - http://www.mixpod.com/playlist/31559436 )
Can someone show me what I am doing wrong or not doing to get this included in my twones?
Thanks so much in advance.

Another resource http://www.aimini.net/Would you consider including Aimini alongside with Skreemr. Here is an example of a song I would listen to which would be nice to have that streaming resource be tracked as well.

Thank You!-
