I know you're aware that duplicates are sometimes created because Shizzow isn't able to recognize that it already has added a search result to its DB. Here's an example that can be reproduced that might help lead to a fix:

Search for "esan" in Portland and three results show up. The N. Denver location is listed as a Shizzow place. The others aren't (in other words, their names aren't links).

Search for "e-san" in Portland and all three E-San locations are listed as Shizzow places.

When I follow shz.me links from Twitter, I often find myself needing to click to find out where the shout location actually is. Any way you could add the address, even if it's just in the title attribute of the place link?

I know added preferences clutter the interface, but... I've found the connection to Twitter changes how and if I shout. There are times that I want to use Shizzow, but not clutter my Twitter stream. At those times, it would be useful to have a way to tell Shizzow not to tweet this shout.

The feature to find Twitter friends on Shizzow is useful, but I've received several listeners on the wrong account. The fault for this, of course, lies on me for choosing a name on Shizzow that is different from my Twitter name.

However, I have connected to Twitter from my Shizzow account. Shizzow should be able to point users who follow @adamd on Twitter to the correct Shizzow account (@adam).

I had been picking up my own shouts here for months:
http://www.shizzow.com/adam/rss

Then it started 404ing. I've fixed my issue by using the new URL:
http://www.shizzow.com/people/adam/rss

You might redirect the old one for others, unless you intend to stop supporting the previous URLs.

I might even go back to email notifications if that were the case. I miss seeing where everyone is going (and what they're shouting), but it was too cumbersome for me to open all of them.

Have Geode default to the place I've been

I love the Geode option for when I check in from WiFi hotspots. I come to Townsend's Tea often and it is always the last of three options from Geode in the dropdown. The other two I've never shouted from and would love if Shizzow defaulted to a place where I've been.

As a coder, I understand there's difficulty here. But as location-based services become more popular, this is the sort of automatic smarts we're going to start expecting. Help keep Shizzow ahead of the curve!

That makes sense not to count people as there if they just forgot to tell Shizzow they moved on. However, I think you can accomplish that internally while not taking away the option to leave. Just now I wanted to be a good shizzer and leave the place I was last night. But I wasn't ready to re-shout because I'm about to go somewhere else. I had to search for the leave option, which I found is still there in the mobile version.

I'd love to still have the leave option available, because it makes me feel complete.

As the number of people I'm listening to is increasing, this feature sounds nicer. Believe it or not, I've kept email updates on until today. Now I'm looking for a way to follow my peeps without visiting Shizzow...
