Radchick,
Our next project is to fix the avatar uploader and some of the bugs associated with it. I apologize for the inconvenience. Until then, you can choose a larger image (and hold shift while cropping it to be what you want) or keep the premade that you've chosen. I'll update this post when the cropper is fixed.
Thanks,
Mike

A comment on the idea "FriendFeed support!" in I Heart Movies:
Jigar,
Are you wanting something that shows the date you watched a movie? Like when you mark it as "watched" on a certain date via IHM? If so, the feed will do that. If not, I don't know if I know what you're looking for in addition to what's already included on the feed.
As far as posting to FriendFeed, I'll looks into it.
Thanks. – mikedavis, on June 24, 2008 17:51

Jigar,
We've already got an rss feed for each user setup that updates whenever you've rated a film. You can use that and have it imported into FriendFeed for people to follow your activity on here.
To see your rss feed, go to your profile page and click the "RSS" tab. Example ( http://www.iheartmovies.org/user/Mike... ).
As far as official FriendFeed support, I think that's something they have to build in as opposed to us. We'd be more than happy to provide it to them if they're interested though ;).
Thanks for your post.-

Aronf13,
It's something we'll have to consider so that we make sure it's done in the best and most accurate way possible. A possible solution may be to have the search submission engine allow users to submit all the data they know on a film to speed up the addition into the system. We could have them enter a title, year, runtime, mpaa rating, etc. We can even show some search results for different covers that match the title they entered based on an Amazon search (we actually do this now to get our covers entered in and it's pretty slick). Regardless of the way we do it, it could allow the users to take on more of the load in entering a film and leave us only with a smaller portion therefore effectively reducing the amount of time it takes to enter in a film or tv show.
While the ideas would all have to be thought out more to avoid possible problems, this would be one of the quicker solutions that comes to mind.
Glad you're enjoying the site and if you find anything else you'd like to see on it or you run into a problem, feel free to holler.

Aronf13,
We agree 100% on the addition of some kind of ability to allow users to add data to the site. It's both a lot more logical and speedy (as far as data entry goes) to split the load amongst many a users. Unfortunately, the pieces of data we've tried to allow users to edit or create directly haven't been all too used. Whether it's our fault for not directly advertising them better or making them intuitive or not, I don't know, but things like Actor/Director biographies and plots are generally (and this is speaking for the most part, not a blanket statement applying to everyone) unused by all but a few select people (most of whom are admins to the site).
So, while it would make more logical sense to add the ability, we question whether the time taken off developing features that we see an immediate need for is worth it in the long run at this point in time.
So, to answer the question in a shorter fashion: we're all for the idea, just don't know if now would be the right time to develop it.
As far as the forums, those are definitely on the agenda in the next few projects. Currently, we're beefing up the user collection section to make it faster and more intuitive. After that's completed we'll be rolling out a series of updates including forums, a new homepage design and some other simple tweaks we've got in the works.
Thanks so much for your comments and suggestions and I'm all for hearing any more you have.
-Mike

IHM feature requestsWhat are some features you'd like added to IHM? We've heard from people individually and have many ideas already, but what's your big idea that you'd like us to add? What do you think could make us all around better for you?
