I believe this happens because sandy is actually sending an email to an address at ATT which ATT then passes through an sms gateway.. from sandy's point of view, it's just an email address.. which gets sent to your phone via sms by ATT. ATT simply assigns it an sequential number, since there isn't really a "from" phone number. (The message is coming from an email address.. not a phone number... ) many (but not all) service providers do it this way...

the other issue is that when you get an email reminder with a link and click on it from a bberry, its doesnt open since there's no version of the mobile website, for example an email that you've asked Sandy to remind you about later. Either the text for that email should be in the remimder from Sandy, or the link should be accessible from a bberry or phone. Otherwise - you're getting reminders about emails or other things that may not have a subject name that lets you know what the item actually is
jish asked a question in ChaCha on July 16, 2008 16:38:
What is the email address associated with my mobile number for this account?I created an account at chacha.com some time ago, but cannot login (or create a new account) anymore.
Here's why: when I attempt to login, my username (tried several email addresses) and password are not found. So, then I attempt to retrieve my password ... again, using several email addresses, and those are not found. Then, I attempt to create a new account, but I'm told that my mobile number has already been registered and that I should simply login.
Arrrgh!!!!
The info I need: how can I retrieve the email address associated with my mobile number for my ChaCha account.

Has any progress been made with this? I'm using an iphone too and I really want the notifications coming into my text messages because I respond to text messages on an individual basis where I don't automatically respond to each received email. And with all the problems I've read here with Twitter, I'm very hesitant to commit myself to using that service as an intermediary between myself and Sandy.
Has this been fixed?

This is a surprisingly insightful and clever idea. In one respect it's a one-off feature that's somewhat orthogonal to the rest of what Sandy does, but in practice I think it's a *brilliant* one-off feature that fits particularly well into both the way you interact with Sandy (email requests and reminders/updates, iCal/RSS subscriptions, and explicit email queries) and the virtual assistant metaphor. Potentially a very useful and very natural/intuitive addition.

Bad news. Apple says "Aperture Library can't be shared."
"If two or more users simultaneously access the same Aperture Library, you will get an alert message on subsequent launch that says there was an error opening the Aperture Library."
And the best line... "The Aperture Library is not designed to be shared among users, so you should not do so." Naw, really?

Sorry!

You bring up some good points. We're planning to add a couple different features that would probably help this type of situation.
One is the ability to "vote" up topics. We've actually had some conversations about this here and here.
The other is to surface topics that need replies which would have helped in your particular situation with the Apple topic you posted.
Right now there's no ability to sort by number of followers, however we will be adding more filtering tools and will be expanding "following" features.
Also, FYI, "following" is primarily based on number of replies (when you reply to a topic you are automatically following it unless you un-follow it) and also upon someone specifically clicking "Follow this topic". Here's more info on following.

No one answered my question (on the Apple GetSatisfaction page) and I'm feeling unsatisfied. In order to raise the visibility of my question, I'd like a way for others with a need to find the same answer to "flag" my question ... questions with more flags (or diggs, if you will) would bubble up to the top and get greater visibility and have a greater chance of being noticed by someone who has the answer.
After further exploration (thank goodness for tabs), I guess my question is: can you sort by number of followers ... within a specific company, and site-wide.

What's the best way to share an Aperture library between two users on one Mac?Should I go with an external Firewire 400 drive (sadly, I don’t have a Firewire 800 cxn on this particular Mac), USB 2.0, or a shared folder? Other suggestions are welcome.
I should note that I not only want both users to be able to view the photos, but also be able add, delete and modify photos from the shared source.
