Yes, Slife has an idle detector and after a period of inactivity it stops logging. When you come back, a whole new cycle starts.

When in Private Mode, none of your computer activities are observed. It works like private mode in Safari or Firefox. None of what you do in the computer is streamed up to Slife Web.

We have recently added support for Adobe Photoshop CS4 and Adobe Illustrator CS4. We will offer InDesign CS4 soon.

I remember that we checked if TextMate was Applescriptable a while back and unfortunately the answer was no. Hopefully the new version, in the works it seems (TextMate 2), will support AS and that will make it easier for us to interface with it.

Having said this, we've recently come up with a way to grab the front TextMate document name through the command line:

osascript -e 'tell app "TextMate" to return name of first document'

So, probably in the next version, we will have this in Slife. I can't wait, since I am a heavy TextMate user myself

We used to have an online guide for the Slife 2.0 version, but it's no longer available since the 3.0 version came out. We are in the process of putting up some online videos showing in details how to get things done with Slife 3.0 (Slife Web).

What are you having difficulty with?

When you visit a web page, the page title and url (i.e nytimes.com) should be displayed in the Web & Docs view. Then you can associate the with Activities by clicking on the link. Are you not seeing the urls?

That's a good idea. One of the ways to look at it is that the sites you spend more time on are at the top. Eventually, the sites that are not relevant go down to the bottom and disappear (sort of).

But I agree that we can improve the UI a bit there to facilitate the visualization of visited sites, etc. Thanks for your feedback.

We would love to have that. It's something that would probably work with only a few email clients (if not just with the Mail.app), but it would be cool nonetheless.

Slife logs your computer activities automatically, but you can use the log activity menu item to log notes, meetings and phone calls, either as they are happening or after the fact.

Did I answer your question? We are preparing some videos to demonstrate how Slife works in more detail.
