StrikerObi reported a problem in atebits on November 18, 2009 01:14:
"New Style" Retweets Not WorkingI have access to Twitter's "new style" Retweets, but when I Retweet from Tweetie 2, it goes through as an old style Retweet.
Additionally, new-style retweets from people I follow are showing up as old style retweets in my main feed.
I was under the impression that Tweetie 2 supported "new style" Retweets out of the box, but maybe I'm confusing that with access to the new Twitter geo-location APIs?

I missed the edit window on my last post by 1 minute! Arg.
Sorry, realized that there was a problem with the service and had to update it. You can now get it at http://files.me.com/msklens/x7kx26.

I just wrote one myself with Automator. It's not perfect (had to use "Watch Me Do" for the Tweeite parts) but it works as intended. It grabs the current URL in Safari, opens Tweetie (which will switch to Tweetie if it's already open), starts a new Tweet, shortens the URL, and types a space after it so you can start your post.

Save images directly from their pop-up displays. It would be awesome if I could save an image from the little pop-up that Tweetie for Mac displays. Having to go to the hosting site and rip it down from there is easy, but it would be even easier if I could save them directly from the app like in Tweetie 2 for iPhone.

Enable iPhone owners to use the iPhone's camera to scan bar codes and relay them back to Delicious Library on the Mac (via bluetooth) to be looked up and added to my library. This would mean I don't have to bring stuff over to my Mac to be scanned, and would be awesome.
Rather than building the app from scratch, it might be a good idea to use the RedLaser technology from Occipital.

Scan products via iPhone's camera.

StrikerObi shared an idea in AT&T on October 11, 2009 22:18:
Please send me an alert when I am nearing my SMS limit for the month. This is a pretty easy thing to do. I can already check my SMS usage on att.com, so I know you're collecting the data. I should get a notice (free SMS or email) when I am nearing (within 10%) of my SMS limit for the month. I don't know why it hasn't been done yet. I'm sure it has something to do with the fact that if people were getting alerts, they would stop sending SMS messages, and AT&T would lose all that pure-profit they make on the overage fees.
Let's face it, everybody knows that SMS messages cost the carrier $0. Charging for them at all is ludicrous. You could at least have the common curiosity to let us know when we're about to go over our allotted amount.
Perhaps a push notification via the AT&T Mobility iPhone App. That would be nice.
I'm not crossing my fingers.

Please make Flash for OS X stop sucking so much.Seriously, it's just awful. Hogs resources, crashes Safari, and does just about everything poorly. There's no excuse for Flash's poor performance. Competing products like Silverlight run just fine.
StrikerObi shared an idea in Mint.com on October 11, 2009 22:09:
Let me set a default sorting on the Planning tab.It drives me nuts. Every time I go to the Planning tab I have to set the sorting to "Category". Please make adjustments so Mint will remember this. The other views are pretty much useless to me, and having to toggle the sorting to Category every time is maddening.-

Add support for 12seconds.tv to Video Tweet options.12seconds.tv is a totally sweet online video service. Similar to Twitter's 140 character limit, videos on 12seconds.tv are limited to 12 seconds in length. They have a few iPhone apps of their own, and are also integrated into TweetDeck for OS X. It would be totally rad if you added support for posting video to 12seconds via Tweetie for iPhone and Mac!
StrikerObi replied on October 11, 2009 21:13 to the problem "iTunes Links cause crazy alerts" in atebits:
Seeing this problem too. It's not that big of a deal when you know you are clicking on an iTunes link, but if the iTunes URL is hidden behind a shortening service like bit.ly there is know way to easily know it's an iTunes link. You click it, and then you're stuck in the alert cycle. The only way out is to confirm and open iTunes, or to close Tweetie 2.-

View images directly from the main feed by touching the picture icon.Viewing an image in Tweetie for iPhone could be a bit easier. Right now if I see a link to twitpic, yfrog, or another supported service, I have to select the tweet and then select the link to get the image to show up. There is already an icon on the main feed that alerts the user that the tweet has an image associated. Touching this photo icon should bring up the image directly.-
