Thanks for Triggit fast follow up :)
The pic should only appear here (I never had problem before): http://origena.blogspot.com/2008/02/t...

I've signed up and added the Triggit javascript to my website, but I'm not using it until the whole thing is clearer and we hear from people who are actually getting paid. For me, the big bonus would be to be able to aggregate various small commissions and get paid from one source - when that happens I'll really use Triggit.

I did some snooping around and I figured out why the link you see does not have your affiliate ID in it. The way that the api processes a request by us for the proper url to send your users to, is to give us a redirecting url that does contain your associates ID. So when the users clicks the link they hit our system and we redirect them to that link that does contain the affiliate ID and then amazon again redirects them to the url you see when you land on the product page. At that point you can't see your associates ID even though amazon has already recorded that you send the users. Sorry if its a little confusing.
So basically Amazon knows you sent the user and you will get a commission for it even though you can't see your id in the URL.
I hope that helps.

We fixed the pending bug. Now it just shows you how many clicks you have. I am looking into the ID issue. The way it looks right now when we run a search against the Amazon API we use you ID tag. And the link they return back has your ID encoded into it. But I will go back and verify that is correct. Thanks for the heads up.

Yes I did put my Amazon Id into the preference.
This is the url http://triggit.com/link/hvgSzEC8
When I click it it sends me to amazon url of the product but with no id of mine (origena-20) in it.
Zach Coelius replied on February 21, 2008 18:12 to the problem "Amazon link always pending" in Triggit:
The "pending" means that no one has click on it yet. That is the analytics that are pending. We are going to be changing that though. A lot of people have been confused.
What URL are you having the problem that your ID is not in the link. Did you put you id into the preferences tab on the Triggit tool?
Ori reported a problem in Triggit on February 21, 2008 18:08:
Amazon link always pendingI tried to link some mentioned book to Amazon, but the link never seems to succeed, it's always pending, and of course when I click that pending link, it doesn't have my Amazon referral id on it.
Please help, thanks.

TMC and Eric. Sorry I missed this, somehow I didn't see the question. Triggit makes money by getting paid by ad networks to distribute ads. We work with networks who want to reach the thousands of publishers who use Triggit and they pay us a fee to include their ads in the Triggit system. We are not taking any of you commissions. Don't worry, all of your clicks are yours and we are not swapping your ID with ours. Please feel free to email me at zach@triggit.com if you have any other questions

My guess is that they haven't quite figured this out yet, but I would also be curious to know if there is a plan or if a commission/share agreement is a proposed model. Others have wondered about this, too: http://gigaom.com/2008/01/17/triggit-.... A lot of start-ups have this problem, obviously.
