that is a known side effect of placing multiple bets on the same question...if placed on same option, your net worth increases because it raises the original bet, on differing options, your net worth decreases, but in the end it'll even out....the second part might work, but i would suggest the inverse...if the higher players get a greater percentage it'll make the lower players even more behind

i know i've been a proponent of a scale down since i won alot of money thru a bug and can easily see where it discourages new users, plus when i was #1 i found it's alot harder to make money percentage wise because you either make large bets which in turn skew the markets or hundreds, eventually turning into thousands, of smaller bets on Q's that u really don't want to bet on....something HAS to be done in order to prevent such huge amounts of money, the question is what?...something i just thought of is maybe just scaling back the top 20 or 30 leaders, or maybe everyone over a certain amount of money, while still retaining those winnings on some board somewhere...this would allow all the new users and the not so active members to keep their winnings and level the playing field a little...as i said, i just thought of it, so feel free to comment on or trash my idea

i think the server is based in california and that is why the default time zone is pacific...used to be, all Q's were automatically set to just PST, but now there is a choice...it _may_ be easier to switch to GMT since most people know how far forward or behind they are from it, altho i know i created a Q about a different zone and had to look up what time to set it to... i also would like to see more european sports questions...seems i do better on the soccer and cricket Q's than the american sports, but i also don't know much about it(soccer that is), simply place bets to see how much of a pure predictor i am without much knowledge, so the only way for there to be more Q's is for more people who follow it to create Q's...just to note, rohan and satyaki are both from india i believe, altho i agree the leaderboard seemss skewed towards we americans...the settlement delay should be helped once they institute power users, from what i gather they are going to allow power users the ability to settle at least some Q's altho i may be wrong about this

i agree, Q's on pre-recorded shows should be banned...a search of settled roadies questions all show unusually high percentages of correct votes - 94,98,97,88,92,&97 and every single one is correct, usually with what appears to be one HUGE bet on most questions...while i do think hubdubbers can be pretty accurate a 100% accuracy rate on a variety of Q's does not seem on the up and up to me...either inside info or suspension after results are known are more likely...especially considering the past of one particular fan of roadies-

i noticed this happens too, the only time i've experienced it was on the stock market questions tho....i'm assuming it's because of the volume, but not sure...on a side note, i've noticed that when it does tell me that the market has moved and i need to place another bet, the numbers reset to the new percentages but it will not accept a wager..i have to go back to the question page and select my option again...i have never been able to just go ahead and place another wager with the new odds it'll just keep telling me the market moved over and over even tho the odds only change the first time-

hmm...i wrote a response, but it musta went elsewhere...i have no problem with questions needing clarified, i mean we do live in a changing would, but the hillary delegates question was clarified within a day based on one person question and no input from anyone else who may have different interpretations...after ryan's post i say 2 others who had read the question the same way i did...i didn't even know there was a discussion about it until after i had lost half my wager....one person asks a question and then the admin comes in(staying on top of things, doing a good job) and states "this is the way it's going to be", instead of "let's suspend it for a bit and have a discussion about it" which is what i believed would be happening when i joined....sorry if i'm being harsh, but this has happened a fair amount and i don't see the harm in suspending and re-opening a question when it needs clarification...if i had lost the 10k because of an actual lose, it woulda been fine, but within about 24 hours i lost (sorry typo above) over 4k because of a difference of interpretation that multiple people had(on both sides) and i didn't even get to say how i felt....about the editors, i usually see ryan post in comments using ryan and then edit and settle stuff as thedoctor and have also seen slummymummy/another name for the same person i think, that's what i meant by the differing accounts.
