Hi Duncan. To say I've learned a lot over the past few days would be quite the understatement. Consider it a lesson well learned.

As for the short notice, I've pushed out the deadline as far as I can, with Sandy and Stikkit going offline on December 19th. I hope that helps to ease the transition for you.

Both Stikkit's and Sandy's web sites and outgoing email messages have been updated with the new date and I'll be having them each fire off email to their respective active users starting this evening.

I hope this helps those of you who needed a little more time to get used to the transition and find yourself an alternative.

Hi cdf12345. I absolutely understand the frustration you're feeling. I've learned a lot in the past few days about how this might have been handled better. This includes (your point #1) extending the deadline out to December 19th (another 2 weeks from today) — I've just updated Sandy's and Stikkit's sites and will be posting an announcement in it's own Get Satisfaction topic in just a moment. As concerns your point #3, no user data has been sold to Twitter (or anyone else for that matter); after we bring both services down, we'll be scrubbing user data (including our regular backups). —Rael – Rael Dornfest, on December 04, 2008 21:43

Sorry about the confusion and inconvenience. I had not removed the protection from the feature after I finished testing with Yeraze and others.

Export should now work for everyone.

It seems I didn't remove the protection on the feature after testing it with Yeraze and others. I've just done so and am pushing an update to Sandy's servers right now.
