It seems that you have already been able to login on TwitterNotes. The problem was probably with Twitter, that could had been offline for a moment there.

Same issue. New username, password (9 chars), getting "Could not login to Twitter." Using Firefox 2.0.0.7

Have you make sure your entering the correct Twitter account information? It's the first time we hear that kind of problem, so we ask you to confirm it please.

If you can't really login then we will ask more information about your case, to make sure you can create account in TwitterNotes, since we would love if you could try it.
