A comment on the problem "iPhoto "Getting Started" PDF file - where is it?" in O'Reilly Media:
Janet-
I'm sorry you're having problems accessing the file. I was able to download the PDF this morning. So instead of trying to access the file via the Missing CD page, try pasting the following URL into your browser window, http://examples.oreilly.com/978059652...
Let us know if that method doesn't allow you to download the file.

Laurie Petrycki replied on December 19, 2008 15:23 to the question "ipod email" in O'Reilly Media:
You manage your email accounts via "Settings." Launch the "Settings" app and choose "Mail, Contacts, Calendars." You'll see an option to "Add Account..." If you select an existing account, such as your gmail account, you'll find an big red button, "Delete Account" to remove it from your iPod.
Information about the settings menu is found in Chapter 3 of iPhone: The Missing Manual, specifically section 3.6, "What's in the Settings Menu."
I hope this information helps you. Good luck.-

I'm sorry to hear you're frustrated. You can find the file and other resources on the Missing CD page. The iMovie file you're looking for is listed under Chapter 10 as PDF Appendix: “iLife ’08 Crash Course Appendix”.
I hope that information helps you.

Laurie Petrycki replied on November 28, 2008 14:33 to the question "why is the 2007 vista missing manual not on your site" in O'Reilly Media:
The Windows Vista: The Missing Manual offered by Amazon.ca with a 2007 publication date and the higher price appears to be the French language edition. The 2006 edition is the English language edition. In the US, we don't have a demand for the French language edition, so at this time, the book not offered for sale on our site.
I hope this information clears up the confusion. It would have been nice if Amazon provided a bit more information on the search results page about the different editions.

Hi Joan-
I don't recall a mention of an iPhoto "Getting Started" PDF in the Mac OS X Leopard: The Missing Manual. Would you please send us the page number or section with the reference, so we can help you find the information?
We do have a separate iPhoto 08: The Missing Manual available if you're interested in more information about the application.
Regards,
Laurie
Laurie Petrycki replied on November 24, 2008 12:01 to the problem "HEAD FIRST HTML CSS XHTML BOOK FILES" in O'Reilly Media:
I just tried to download the files from the book page on headfirstlab.com and I was able to get the files. So let's try and figure out how you can get the files on your system.
Did you try a different browser? I'm on a Mac and sometimes using Firefox gives me different results than using Safari. If you're on a Windows computer, did you try using Chrome or Firefox?
Another option would be to right-click (or ctrl-click if your using a Mac) on the download link and select "Download Linked File."
You might want to check to see if the files were downloaded and put somewhere. Search for the file, HFHTML_code.zip, or the directory, HFHTML_code.
I hope one of those suggestions helps you. Please let us know.
