great news! This would work for me in categorising my Outlook based activity. As a programme manager, that (and web browser based applications) constitutes 90% of my work! Until that is in place, tagging doesn't work for me, as it isn't granular enough. hmm, i'll make this as useful too while I'm here.

I know it's possible to get a hold of the window title bar information for a window. Often times it has some information that can be used to differentiate between tasks and projects. Maybe the first order approximation would be the ability to have matching strings for the window captions (TimeSnipper uses this approach).
In my case I store documents related to different projects in different directories. Ideally it would be nice if RescueTime could see what the title of a document is:
Proposal.odt - OpenOffice.org Writer
And then it would know that Proposal.odt is under University directory (by scanning directories) and this directory is tagged as belonging to a certain project. This approach does not require plug-ins, but there are could be issues with similar file names and requirement to scan directories periodically.

I've logged this as a bug as well as the negative records. We have a fix that should be put out there in the next couple of days that will prevent negative duration records in the first place.
I will let you know when we have that in place so you can verify that you are able to remove your negative duration records.

Here is the easiest way I've found to remove unwanted data:
- Log into your RescueTime account
- Go to the "My Data" tab
- Select the day from the calendar control where you have data you wish to delete
- Under the top line graph there is an option to "View Full App/Site List", this will give you a list of all of the applications and web sites for that day
- Click the application or website that you wish to delete data from
- Under the graph on this page is a "Manage zzz Data" section. The right hand side of this section contains a link to "Delete this data".
You can also delete data for a full week or full month, it depends on how you've selected from the date control.
Let me know if this doesn't give you enough details to get to the delete functionality.
