Anytime now, Stay tuned :)
We are conducting some experiments in a few markets - for now, I recommend you start using Fancast and TV Planner (I would expect some early integration to manifest on those places).

That sounds like a nightmare, sorry you had to experience it. Where are you located? Seems like your area has some serious customer service issues...
If you have to interact with them again or want to try to find out if they can give you something for your pain, try contacting customer service and once you get to a representative, escalate to their manager. Escalate until they give you what you want.
There is no reason for you to be treated like that - in my experience this is totally variable per customer service call centre. Some are outstanding and others suck, like the one where you live...-

livlab, an employee of Comcast, replied on November 29, 2007 21:57 to the question "where can i find the cost of comcast products and services" in Comcast:
Go to http://www.comcast.com. Click on Shop > All Products.
You can find out more detailed information about each of the three services offered and the bundle package.
You'll be prompted for your zip code at one point so that they can show your special discounted $ for the area you are interested in getting services in.-

That sucks. I agree with Amy on the comment about open wifi (first thing to check).
One tip I have in case Comcast is your only alternative: when you talk to a tech on the phone, ask if they are in your area. If not, have them transfer you. I've found that local reps have access to data that's more relevant to you (potentially the info they neglected to tell you), than whoever else you get assigned to in some generic call center.
livlab, an employee of Comcast, replied on October 26, 2007 18:21 to the question "Do I need a cable box?" in Comcast:
A digital cable box allows you to get access to any kind of services considered 'premium' like pay channels such as HBO, Showtime, Encore, and Cinemax. Their signals are scrambled in transmission and the digital box is the only way to "unscramble" that signal so you can watch these channels.
In addition, regular channels are starting to only make themselves available digitally (the technology will eventually replace the standard signal entirely), for example, the TV Guide channel.
Depending on what channel lineup you currently get (what you are currently subscribing to) you will probably see channels start to go that way (but that's the evolution of transmission model, not a Comcast thing), so Comcast is trying to get customers to switch to digital box so they don't miss anything, which is probably why you are getting the call.
Also, with the digital box you get access to Channel 1 On Demand, which even if you have the most standard package of service from Comcast, gives you access to a 24/7 library of movies, TV series and entertainment content that grows every week.
PS: I work at Comcast but not on the Cable side, I just know this as a user of the service.-

They get tuna as a treat once a week, and one loves "people food" tidbits. I have tried so many times to get them to switch to something healthier and they just refuse. My question for all of you pet owners out there - have you had trouble getting your pets to eat or switch to nutritious food? If your pet has had specific problems such as hairballs, obesity, diabetes, etc. did you see an improvement in their health by purchasing products touting specific treatments such as weight loss or senior formulas? Just curious. Any strategy for getting a pet to change its food?" in IAMS :
I agree with the strategy of mixing the old with the new and changing proportion over time until you have switched over completely. (It has worked with our 8 year old cat).
If your cat *really* hates it (and is somewhat skilled), it will pick out the food it likes from the food it doesn't like. If that persist I believe it should be good indication that the switch is not a good thing for your cat (after all you want it to be healthy and happy, not nourished and miserable). Our cat did that at first but over time got over it and adopted the new food and now it loves it.-

livlab, an employee of Comcast, replied on September 15, 2007 05:22 to the problem "High-speed isn't" in Comcast:
That sounds terrible, sorry you've been suffering with that.
Have you experienced the slow download while connected directly to the modem Comcast installed? Your LAN may be fine but sometimes there can be some issues about router compatibility that could be affecting your connection. If you haven't tried, check the download speed without connecting the LAN.
If that is functional, you might want to call Comcast 1800 and ask them to reset your modem remotely - sometimes that resolves some mysterious problems.
Comcast has rolled out PoweBoost recently so not only should you be getting at least 6Mps download speeds but also a boost if you need it (and the network is available)! http://www.comcast.net/powerboost/-

livlab replied on September 14, 2007 21:04 to the question "What's the difference between Company and Organization?" in Get Satisfaction:
You can do that, it's just attached to a company/organization now.
But you bring up a good point about the taxonomy of relationships of massive companies with subdivisions and subsidiaries.
In our case, I create our umbrella company and added the three services (the three core business lines), then created another company (my division) and added the products we are responsible for working on (which are much more granular and specific and relate to some of the 3 core business lines). That relationship can be made (though I don't know how), as seen on this page on the right "Get Satisfaction related:" where it shows other companies/products of relevance.
I'm loving the structure flexibility because even though the relationship between product and company may not be self evident "from the consumer perspective" at first, people don't HAVE to go through a company to find a product. Conversely, the information is not presented in a way that reflects a company's internal structure (which is irrelevant to the consumer but often translated into company websites).
Get Satisfaction rocks my socks.
livlab replied on September 14, 2007 19:25 to the question "What's the difference between Company and Organization?" in Get Satisfaction:
There you go, that's what I asked: what is the difference.
My second point is, not a lot of people may know the distinction you are trying to make WHEN they are entering that info. While it be evident to someone who works on a non-profit it can leave some folks wondering.
So it's really dependent on how relevant is that info to the relevance of system.
