Actually I am an authorized Apple service provider that does warranty repairs etc. If you're under warranty, this falls under the warranty and the top casing can be replaced very quickly. I hope that helps. Not everyone is near a service provider, sadly.

Nope, it was related to the database switchover this weekend. The topic starter's name had invalid data in it from the move and that was causing the breakage.

For the record, I haven't confirmed that it is the smiley face breaking things, but it is one possible cause. I'm investigating now :)

I noticed when I searched for "svn" in the topic search in http://getsatisfaction.com/beanstalk/, the search result showed as: "svn-checkin broken :-(" with a frowny face at the end. Perhaps that's causing the server to hiccup and not display the page?

I would say try a little bleach, like "straight out of the brand new bottle" bleach in a piece of paper towel or a clean cloth you will not use. Leave it for 1 or 2 minutes then wipe it clean with a moist cloth and make sure you clean the bleach well. Use a dry cloth to dry it or compressed air. Mind you if you leave the bleach for too long you could damage your palm rest.

There is also another chemical called "FoamSafe", that stuff takes dirt and stuck on crap out of any surface in a few minutes. Be careful with it... burns the skin like crazy.

why is your payment gateway pending 40 charges on my account currently?

my chase account shows 40 pending charges to your company, and yet i am now receiving an email every 30 seconds from your payment system saying I've been declined. That's every 30 seconds since 12:12 last night.
