Yep! That's fixed in the upcoming UI update :) It was indeed really annoying to have to scroll past the bigger images and videos to get to the important links.

I'm sure you'll like the other UI improvements, too -- they should be coming online later this week.

No, we hadn't changed a thing ... normally, when there is an outage, the process resumes from the last link that was successfully exported (so all the missing links should have come through).

We'll definitely try to make the process more transparent so that you know what's going on when things aren't working as expected temporarily. Thanks for your understanding!

You see that where there is some text and an image on Mento there isn't anything besides the "via:mento.info" tag on del.icio.us.

It's not that I change them later. I suggest that the link is saved to Mento in some way when You add a picture - and sometimes Mento synchronizes this link to del.icio.us before the comment and the tags are saved.

Yesterday as far as I remember I had this problem with my Radiohead link (http://code.google.com/creative/radio...) - I monitored Mento's behaviour regarding this problem and found that it does not happen all the time, but sometimes.

I will make a screenshot when the problem occurs again.

Sadly, I can't reproduce the problem. I checked recent links that were published to my delicious account -- they all had custom tags and comments, including those that have images or custom screenshots.

In the future, can you point me to an example that had this problem? That would greatly help in tracking down the problem.

Please note also that links get exported to delicious within 20 minutes of being saved to Mento. If you make changes to your links later, those updates currently don't get synchronized.

That's certainly not the intended behavior; I'm very sorry about the data loss and inconvenience. I'm taking a look at this right now and will update you once a fix is published.

We're currently overhauling the posting screen -- it won't involve a popup in the near future anymore. We expect to gradually release the new updates in 10 days or so. Until then, the easiest solution will be to login outside of the Mento box (and checking the "Remember me" box, if that's a safe option for the computer you're using).

the updates appear to have resumed (your latest link was published 3 hours ago). Please bear in mind that the delicious API is not always available -- its uptime is in fact very different from the main delicious service (which surprised us). We hope to provide a better interface in the future for you to check the status of the auto-export service so that you know when delicious might be down or when another problem came up.

That's a totally valid point -- we're completely overhauling the interaction with channels right now to make them more usable and manageable. As you noticed, they're a bit cumbersome right now -- to say the least.

I hope you can be patient for a little longer as we plan to gradually release the (exciting) updates in about 10 days or so.

Problems with the current system...
For example, I took this screenshot...LINK
but it's ridiculously large when it's not scaled down.

In my "links section" I would like to have thumbnails of my screencaptures (in a standard size for all).

Also, the pictures should have a border around them, the images with white background are meshing with the white background of mento.info. Hard on the eyes.

I was hesitant to put in many extra features so far -- a simple in/out list seemed just simple enough and I wanted to focus instead on making the interaction as light-weight as possible.
