A comment on the question "How do I find my blog's API Endpoint?" in Ma.gnolia:
Textpattern's XML-RPC support is designed to match up more closely with the Movable Type API. The XML-RPC has also been quite substantially improved recently, and will be a fully fledged component in TXP 4.0.7 -- but it's not quite right to say that it's not a more modern blog API :-)
A Textpattern "section" is equivalent to a "blog" in the Movable Type sense. – Rocketpilot, on July 04, 2008 06:31

Perhaps ma.gnolia could look into using RSD
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Really_S...
http://cyber.law.harvard.edu/blogs/ge...
I've not looked into this in too much detail yet but its something I'll probably add to my blogging engine in the future.
Failing that, the ma.gnolia blogging client could try to work out the blog's API endpoint from the blog url. Most engines have a default setting, e.g. <site>/xmlrpc.php. There are a number of blogging clients that do this in addition to allowing the user to specify the endpoint.</site>

I'm pretty sure the Textpattern endpoint listed in the Ma.gnolia resources is incorrect. I have recently used rpc to connect to MarsEdit (which is using metaweblog-compatible technology) with this endpoint:
http://domain.com/rpc/
I would really like to be able to connect my blog and my clients' blogs with Ma.gnolia, so I hope you are able to add metaweblog support soon.
Thanks!

I want to add my next issue. I also can't seem to get the dropdown menu's to work at all. I can't get to the main page or my groups. I'm beholden to the links that come up on my homepage. It's really making me upset cause I want so see what other people are posting. =( Can anyone repoduce this besides me? I'm using Safari 3.1 and I'm sure it's a simple setting. It works fine in Firefox. Kkthxbai
