A comment on the problem "Public RSS feeds are broken" in Pownce:
To be precise feeds are partly working: 1) Atom feeds are "secretly" available at http://pownce.com/feeds/all/[something].atom : you can find this if you look for the RSS icon in Firefox's URL textbox 2) the content of the articles is wrong: e.g. the link back to Pownce looks like http://pownce.com/api/notes/from/[username]/[post no.]/ instead of http://pownce.com/[username]/notes/[post no.]/ – giacecco, on July 16, 2008 05:36

Sounds like the stupid shipping gang, just let consumerist know and they'll post your complaint to the front page in no time, since they do for everyone else.

But is it good enough? The world has many more important things to worry about when it comes to resource usage than the strain too much cardboard puts on the environment. I'd rather we concentrate on world hunger before we start getting complainy about Amazon's packaging stances. – Scott Fleckenstein, on April 22, 2008 02:44

Good news, everyone! :-)
Apparently Adobe has been getting several complaints about this and finally offered a way to fix the problem in Windows. I already tried it and it works fine on my Vista system:
"To workaround this problem, go to Start > Default Programs > Set Program Access and Computer Defaults, expand Custom, select the radio button next to the application you want to set as the system-wide default browser (for example, Mozilla Firefox) and apply the setting."
Alrighty, one down, 99 more bugs to go...more or less... ;-)

We make every attempt to package items securely to protect them during shipping, but sometimes damage does occur.
We always appreciate customer input on how we can improve our store, and I've passed your message along to our shipping department.
I've included some additional information below in case you have any further questions.
Thanks for shopping at Amazon.com.

I'm looking forward to hearing from their shipping department seeing as this email didn't address my question at all.
What I did learn from the link above was that those plastic air cushions are low-density polyethylene and are 100% recyclable.

Shawn Allen's reply to "The Pownce AIR app won't open links in my Flock Browser" was just promoted to the most useful! Ryan McCue and 2 other people think it's one of the best replies.
This is a problem with AIR, and It's frustrating for me, too, because I can't even do anything to fix it. AIR developers don't have any control over which application opens links: We just pass a URL to a function and assume that it's going to do The Right Thing.
So I'm sorry, but this is something that Adobe needs to fix.
