I put together a tutorial of how I got it iwantsandy to update my Google Calendar and my mobile phone using scheduleworld.com

A comment on the question "How does Sandy make it easier for me to schedule things on Google calendar?" in I want Sandy:
I have it so that I use the public ics feed for Sandy in my Google Calendar, but I 'hide' it. I then set up a 2nd calendar called Sandy in Scheduleworld, then synchronise it to the Sandy calendar in my Google Calendar. My mobile phone is set to synchronise every hour, so when it synchronises it automatically pushes the Sandy entries into my calendar (which is 'shown' on my Google calendar page). I can't update Sandy from Google Calendar, but Sandy can update Google calendar via my phone synchronisation.
Hope that makes sense.

it says: ScheduleWorld has a 1:1 mapping between ScheduleWorld and Google calendars. Simply create two ScheduleWorld calendars, map each of them to a different Google calendar, and configure your SyncML device to sync both ScheduleWorld calendars. – ozlady, on May 17, 2008 14:16-

well, if you can send an iCal/ics file to Sandy and she can parse it for events and appointments (as seems to be working), that's pretty close to integration if you subscribe to your Sandy calendar in gCalendar. The bit I am hoping for is not to have to make changes in multiple places, but to be able to. So if I update the calendar in iCal I can send that to Sandy, and the changes are incorporated. Likewise, I send her an update (forget #2, or remind me tomorrow) and those changes are visible everywhere I look.
Is that what's meant by synchronization in this thread?

i've just asked myself this question also;
but off the top of my head, i think you'd be able to forward stikkit emails to sandy. simple solution that would get the two working together to begin with.
a filter for stikkit emails, possibly with a particular subject/keyword, to forward to sandy automatically should work nicely. other ideas?

*If there was ever a need to push a standardised calendar format, perhaps we can start it here ;-)
Most of the solutions out there speak SyncML: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SyncML
If Sandy could, we'd be able to synchronize to many calendaring systems using many clients. I have no problem keeping a Treo and Gcal in sync, while using Outlook as the "master" db.
