One problem is if you're the only listed employee, you're also the admin (or perhaps it's vice versa). The same issue exists. I created a Company and Product, for the company I was working for at one time, and now am unable to disassociate myself with the company in any way since they have not adopted GS. This is rather problematic - especially if I really didn't want to be associated with that company any longer (although in my case it's not a terrible thing, just incorrect as I am neither an employee nor should be an admin of their company reputation).

Unable to resize the columnsI'm unable to resize the columns. I know it's Beta and you probably already know about it, but it doesn't hurt to let you know again. :)

Checking into wrong location by short nameWhy can't we delete venues? Sometimes people put their own homes in, like "Ralph's Place" which sucks because when I want to check into "Ralph's Supermarket", I'd rather just type "Ralph's".... but the supermarket doesn't come up as an option... it just checks me into "Ralph's Place".

Say something to the person you're ousting as Mayor. You should be able to say something to the person you're ousting as Mayor. That would be fun.

Hi Chris. Yes, we'd love to work with http://ushahidi.com. We love that project as well. I haven't explored http://freebase.com much, but it looks like something I could enjoy immensely. Definitely feel free to contact me directly if you'd like. http://blog.perfectspace.com/contact would be the best way to do that for starters. I'll reply to you via email.
Thanks!-

Nate Ritter set one of Nate Ritter's replies as an official response to "Selective definition of crises" in CrisisWire
Nate Ritter replied on February 26, 2009 07:24 to the question "Selective definition of crises" in CrisisWire:
Hi Ben,
Thanks for the question, and most definitely there are many crises going on throughout the world. We're trying to evaluate much more than simply what constitutes an emergency in the larger sense of the world. The only way our service will be useful is if people are using internet based media and talking about specific and important facts related to the crisis. The longer it goes on and the farther we get away from sources of data like government and public services, the more opinion and fluff we'll get. We're not trying to be an echo chamber, so this is a delicate issue that we're not taking lightly.
So, thanks for pointing out the issues at hand. We'd love your thoughts on the subject more. But, just realize that I'm pretty sure that we're not really going to be much help in areas like Somalia, Sudan, or the Congo. It's not that they're not crises. It's just that our service doesn't do them justice because they're ongoing issues.
Please, feel free to comment on this as we're open to new ideas on how we might be able to help with those too.

Nate Ritter set one of Nate Ritter's replies as an official response to "RSS Feed?" in CrisisWire
Nate Ritter replied on February 26, 2009 07:10 to the idea "RSS Feed?" in CrisisWire:
We've definitely thought of this. We'll definitely add them for the emergency titles that we'll be tracking, but RSS for the aggregation of all the items in a particular crisis would be a massive amount of info in one feed. I highly doubt anyone would want that in an RSS feed. But, we are working with more immediate ways of tracking that info.
Thanks for the suggestion.
