I'm getting the same error message when trying to see my favourites in 1.0.1 on my iPhone, regardless of whether I'm using Wi-Fi or 3G, everything else seems to work fine.

eh screw it - here's the answer:
if your computer has a wireless connection and you leave your iphone near it, it will drain it quickly, even if you have wifi disabled on the iphone.

You could always try reporting it to Apple via <a href="http://developer.apple.com/bugreporter/">Bug Reporter</a>, though I'd be surprised if you'd get anything other than their thanks if it turns out you're right. – Julian, on June 03, 2008 17:18

I was about to post that I was having the same problem. I am running Mac OS X 10.4.11. Could NOT delete with Safari 3.x or Camino 1.6, but Firefox 3.0b5 worked like a champ.
