Julian started following the question "Auto-brightness not working on iPhone" in Apple.
Julian replied on October 27, 2008 19:22 to the discussion "Unauthorized purchases." in Apple:
I might be wrong about this, and I don't work for Apple, but I get the impression that perhaps a lot of the charges that people are seeing might actually be from Apple, but are happening because people have had their card details stolen and used by other people, like in KoKo's case.
Whether it's the result of someone skimming cards, a phishing scam or perhaps even more full-scale ID theft, these I think these cases are somewhat unlikely to have much to do with Apple, and people's first port of call assuming they don't have an iTunes Store account should definitely be their card issuers.

Have you tried sending a message via http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/s... ? You could also try 1-800-MY-APPLE, or 1-800-APL-CARE, hopefully someone will be able to help you.
One thing I was wondering, have you checked your iTunes Store purchase history to see if someone might have purchased something on your account without your knowledge? Paste the URL below into your location bar, whack enter and it should open iTunes to the right place (it's not a clickable link because it's not technically a website).

Julian replied on September 13, 2008 04:15 to the problem "My iPhone battery drains too much overnight!" in Apple:
Since the iPhone 2.1 software update that was released yesterday is in part meant to substantially improve battery life (among other lovely things like *much* faster backups), you might want to try it out and see if it makes a difference, especially if you combine it with the tips on the Apple battery section ohisee linked to above.
A comment on the problem "My iPhone battery drains too much overnight!" in Apple:
That's really weird, assuming a restore doesn't fix it, methinks it's Applecare time. – Julian, on September 07, 2008 21:09

A comment on the problem "My iPhone battery drains too much overnight!" in Apple:
You could always try reporting it to Apple via Bug Reporter, though I'd be surprised if you'd get anything other than their thanks if it turns out you're right. – Julian, on June 03, 2008 17:18
A comment on the question "o2 UK" in Twitter:
I'm reasonably certain that the Twitter number for the UK is a standardish UK number, so texting Twittter shouldn't cost you more than a standard SMS and should work with your bundle. Also, you can always take advantage of your iPhone's unlimited data and use something like http://hahlo.com/ to update/access Twitter. – Julian, on May 18, 2008 16:51
A comment on the question "Why don't you offer Paypal?" in Threadless:
I would, only I don't think it's available outside of the US. – Julian, on May 14, 2008 21:54
Julian replied on May 07, 2008 11:23 to the problem "Mass email deletion on iPhone email??!!" in Apple:
Fear not, as mass email deletion is coming in the next software update (2.0) in June, in the meantime, I'm wondering why you're bothering to delete email out of the trash, as both Yahoo! and Gmail have practically unlimited storage for mail, and the iPhone can be set to automatically purge it after a period of time (Settings, Mail, the account you want, Advanced, Remove).
