This city was indeed already listed, so what puzzles me is how you came to not find it. This was the first result both through the search bar and the add trip form, when I used "Ostend" as search criteria. This is important for us to know so that these kind of problems could be avoided in the future. Thank you for your help in advance.

Thanks for your message. To prevent spam and other abusive use the added places don't appear immediately on the city pages. They are, however, shown in your and your fellow travellers' journal feeds, and accessible through the direct url they get when you create them. The places will get added to the listings on the city page once they've received enough popularity among Dopplr travellers.

Hi there,

Thanks for your message, and apologies for not getting back to you earlier. This is a known issue and caused by two facts.

1) Changing your home city doesn't create a trip from the previous home to the new one.
2) Dopplr starts your trips from the previous city you returned to (the home city).

This means that the last trip you took before you changed your home city returned to London, and now Dopplr thinks you're leaving from there. We'll be fixing this problem during the summer / fall.

You can go around this problem by adding a trip to Vancouver (in the past) around the date you changed your home city. This will place you in Vancouver and correct the view on the map.

Thanks for your message. To make your trips show up on group pages, you'll have to add them to the group. You can do this on the add trip form when creating the trip or afterwards on the trip page itself, by selecting the group you want to add the trip to from a dropdown menu and then clicking the "Add" icon. You'll find this section on the trip page under the note field.

If you've done all this and your trips still don't appear on the group page, please contact us again via the feedback form (http://help.dopplr.com/contact/) and let us also know you Dopplr user name, so that we can investigate further.
