Errors in chapters of Misspent Youth on my Palm Pre

I purchased Misspent Youth by Peter F. Hamilton and downloaded it to my Pre. This was my third title purchased via Shortcovers & my Pre. All others work fine.

But so far, there have been two chapters I cannot get to load. The first was in the early 20s. I just skipped it, as I wanted to move along in the story. But now I'm on chapter 48 -- a critical point in the book -- and don't want to skip it this close to the end.

When I try and access the chapter -- it's not been bookmarked since I can't get it to load. It just spins. I've tried clearing the book from my device and re-downloading it. Still no luck. I've tried clearing that from the device and just accessing the chapter. Still no dice.

I've not yet tried dumping the application and starting all the way over and am hoping I don't have to.

Ideas?

Both books are paused because they haven't been updated in a very, very long time. When Andy gets us new episodes, we'll get the book back available.

We're completely at the mercy of the upload schedule of the author, Zachary. In fact, we sometimes lag behind, but rarely by more than a day. Trust us -- we want to get the episodes to you as fast as we can.

Good point, Leila. We jammed out the login stuff some 4 years ago and haven't touched it since. LOTS of issues we'll do better in the re-write! Good thing the "entire form" is only a couple of lines. But still, you are correct. It'll get better. :)

Looks like this one won't have a happy ending, Richard. Heard from the producer. Seems the author requested the files be removed on Friday. I'm trying to get some further details, but I'm less-than-hopeful. Sorry! :(

Fixed up a few days ago. We had an issue with an error in a file that threw off the numbering in subsequent episodes. All better!

Yikes! Looks like the author skipped an episode, as the one we tried to link to was actually 25. So we'll see if we can't get that corrected. Sorry about that!

What Seb said. WebOS makes things pretty simple to port over, assuming they were web based.

I was able to click on Episode 25 from Shadow Falls: Badlands and get it to play for me just fine. Assuming a temporary interwebs glitch. Let me know if you find differently.

Precision - I see a "site down" email. Then your email five minutes later. Then a "site up" email a minute after that. :)
