I have the same issue. I get around it by setting iCal to only display alarms when the app is open. I mostly use Entourage and only open iCal occasionally, so most of the time I don't see the iCal alarms.
When I do open iCal, all the alarms are listed in a single display window so I can close all the ical alarms with one click by just closing the window..

Hopefully apple will address this in a future release of iCal. it's a potential issue for anyone loading multiple calendars into iCal from different sources! – downtempo, on June 20, 2008 19:09

downtempo asked a question in Apple on April 01, 2008 23:59:
how can i disable alarms in iCal for automatically synced Entourage 2008 Calendar items?i have Entourage 2008 set up to automatically sync my calendar with iCal. this is a great feature, since it lets me schedule my personal calendar items in iCal (while checking to see if they conflict with my business calendar items from Entourage, which in turn syncs to my Exchange Server at work).
however, for every calendar event scheduled in Entourage that has an alarm associated with it, i am now getting TWO alarms for the same event -- one in iCal, and one in Entourage!
so my question is, is there a way to disable iCal alarms ONLY for the items automatically sync'ed from Entourage? (ie. disable all alarms for the "Entourage" calendar in iCal).
thanks for your help, satisfactioneers!

downtempo reported a problem in Apple on October 16, 2007 03:19:
itunes for windows freezes/crashes when upgrading to iTunes Plus tracksAfter buying the "iTunes Plus" upgrade for several albums that i'd already purchased in their old format, iTunes automatically added them to my download queue in iTunes (running on Windows Vista).
However, iTunes proceeds to lock up after the first file in the queue passes the "processing file" state.
To make things even more frustrating, every time iTunes crashes, it marks 3 downloads as "completed" even though the files aren't on my computer. So now I have to email Apple Support when i fix the crashing problem so i can get those files marked for download again. ARGH!
I tried deleting the old files from my iTunes library first, and that didn't help the problem. Help me, Apple!

That doesn't sound right. If you're committed to basic plan already I don't understand why they'd force you to make a one year commitment to an add-on feature. When we went to Argentina a year ago, we turned on an International package for my husband's AT&T and then turned it off when we got back.
As for the cost, that doesn't surprise me.
