Need a readable Courier/"typewriter" font!

Typekit team, I love your product, but I was a little let down by the "typewriter" collection of fonts. While there are several wonderfully exotic-looking fonts in this collection, all I need is a really good-looking Courier replacement.

Since the default Courier looks quite different between (for example) Safari and IE, I want to use Typekit to have a great-looking Courier-style font across all browsers. However, the existing "typewriter" fonts on Typekit are a little too exotic to be readable at small typefaces for a page worth of text.

Any chance you could quickly add a clean Courier-style font (my preference would be for something resembling the built-in OS X Courier font), so I can put it into production on my new web product? Thanks in advance... You've made a great product, and I'm looking forward to deploying it soon once I get this font issue resolved. :)

Hi Kolchi! While self-love is healthy in moderation, we're definitely of the opinion that it should be kept in check. :)

We're going to solve this problem by making a change to the site that will limit people to loving (or boo-ing) any tip more than once, whether it's their own tip or someone else's. Thanks for catching this issue!

provide reasons/excerpts from the advisories to show why a country is being rated. (ie. for a country that has been rated "avoid nonessential travel" because of a coup, the rating could be "Avoid Nonessential travel.... coup.")

provide lists of "least risky" and "most risky" countries, and countries whose rating has changed rapidly in a short period of time.

in the future we should add support for regions within countries, instead of just countries. this is especially important for countries with trouble "hot spots", or very large countries.

this was fixed in a subsquent release of iTunes.

and i finally ended up ditching the Vista PC in favor of a Mac, which also made life easier. ;)

i have Entourage 2008 set up to automatically sync my calendar with iCal. this is a great feature, since it lets me schedule my personal calendar items in iCal (while checking to see if they conflict with my business calendar items from Entourage, which in turn syncs to my Exchange Server at work).

however, for every calendar event scheduled in Entourage that has an alarm associated with it, i am now getting TWO alarms for the same event -- one in iCal, and one in Entourage!

so my question is, is there a way to disable iCal alarms ONLY for the items automatically sync'ed from Entourage? (ie. disable all alarms for the "Entourage" calendar in iCal).

itunes for windows freezes/crashes when upgrading to iTunes Plus tracks

After buying the "iTunes Plus" upgrade for several albums that i'd already purchased in their old format, iTunes automatically added them to my download queue in iTunes (running on Windows Vista).

However, iTunes proceeds to lock up after the first file in the queue passes the "processing file" state.

To make things even more frustrating, every time iTunes crashes, it marks 3 downloads as "completed" even though the files aren't on my computer. So now I have to email Apple Support when i fix the crashing problem so i can get those files marked for download again. ARGH!

I tried deleting the old files from my iTunes library first, and that didn't help the problem. Help me, Apple!

HP Network Devices Support has stopped working

i keep getting the "HP Network Devices Support has stopped working" error message in Vista using HP printer drivers -- looks like a problem in the software bundle they install.

evidently there is a workaround i can try at http://forums1.itrc.hp.com/service/fo..., which is to disable the "CUE AutoDiscovery Servivce", and i've now tried that.

this really should get fixed in the software itself. HP, feel my pain!

luckily the software unlock for iphone should be available to the general public in a matter of weeks. buying and using a local SIM card always beats roaming on your home carrier!
