JustinBaum replied on April 03, 2009 20:57 to the question "Sort folders by date added/created?" in Box.net:
Date updated and Date created produce two fundamentally different results...
Currently sorting by "date" on Box is sorting by "date update" ...
I would LOVE to be able to sort by date CREATED..
Here is a scenario....
I want to see the latest files added to a folder I am collaborating in. I sort by "date" and the first page of files have been UPDATED recently (comments, additions to folders etc) but were not CREATED recently.
If I was able to sort by by date created I would only see recent uploads and recently created folders.
Hope that makes sense!

Scrolling horizontally to see all my columns is a usability nightmareI love tweetdeck, LOVE IT... but scrolling horizontally to see all my columns is a total drag. I would check my other columns and probably use the app more if I had a straightforward way to navigate between them.
JustinBaum asked a question in Box.net on February 25, 2009 00:26:
Sort folders by date added/created?Is the box team considering adding the ability to sort files and folders by the date they were uploaded or created? That would be very helpful. Currently sorting by date updated is the only option I see.
Glad to see Box is on here, love the product.

Add book button feedbackJust joined. I am adding all my books on a crappy internet connection. When setting the status of my books there is a delay between the time I choose "finished" and the button state changing to reflect my choice. Some feedback on or around the button to indicate it is still working during that delay would be a nice touch. Site is awesome so far!-

JustinBaum reported a problem in Orbitz on September 25, 2008 00:59:
Money stuck in limbo and no ticket confirmationLast month trying to purchase a complicated and rather expensive trip to Europe I got caught in one of those "You need to call your bank" VS. "You need to call orbitz" death matches. Two times in a row and about a week apart each, I tried to purchase something on orbitz and the transaction would fail on their end... but oh man did it go through on my banks end. Essentially the money was stuck in a pending transaction that my bank could not cancel. Orbitz saw no record of it on their end and claimed they couldnt do anything about it. Finally after speaking to 3 different people I was able to get a manager to call my bank and she quickly sorted the situation out. Why this took an orbitz manager, multiple days and multiple hours of my time is beyond me. Serious bug in their system.
JustinBaum reported a problem in CheapTickets on September 25, 2008 00:49:
Fix your international customer serviceI made an international reservation on cheaptickets.com. One of the airlines canceled or rescheduled one of the flights for my trip. I had to repeatedly call customer service for various reasons. Cheap tickets could not tell me ANYTHING about the itinerary change, nor could they get ahold of the airlines. After hours of being on hold the customer service agent offered me a full refund for the tickets. I told her I would call back after investigating other options.
Sure enough when I call back a few hours later the new agent will not give me any guarantee that I can get a refund and leaves me on hold for 40 min only to tell me the airlines cancelation department is closed for the day. Great. Should have known.
The best part about calling them over and over is that every time I get an agent I tell them I need to speak with the international department, they refuse to transfer me until I give them all my information and they look up my trip record..... but guess what the international department asks for after I am transfered? ALL THE SAME INFORMATION again. I did this 6 times today and want to jump out the window.-

Edwin, nope! :)
I think there is still danger there. The first time I UNSUBSCRIBE from a feed in Feedly it needs to confirm that I understand the relationship between Feedly and Google Reader. The disclosure needs to be presented in the context of the potentially destructive action. Software and web sites should facilitate safe exploration - They shouldn't be a hazard to use if you don't read the instructions. Just my opinion
Here is a crude example of how I would execute a solution to this problem and what would have saved me specifically.

Edwin that is the way to go in my opinion. Tying the disclosure to the potentially destructive action would cover all your bases. Im bummed my data is gone, but I understand that you cannot do anything about it. As for compensating me you can a) buy me a chumby. b) buy me a beer if i ever cross paths with a feedly employee. or... c) mess up the height of your designers chairs every morning for a month. – JustinBaum, on June 20, 2008 22:53

Thanks dknighton,
Yah I had some very personalized unique feeds from AideRSS, yahoo pipes and other sites setup in gReader. I unsubscribed from ALL of them when I used feedly for the first time as I didnt want them as part of my feedly experience.
If anything, I have been reminded not to assume everyone has their user experience / interaction design nailed down. Oh the life of early adopters. Im not ready to say whether or not I will use Feedly again.

My heads still spinning from the loss of data.
I dont think you kept the users best interest in mind when designing how to communicate this key concept. Not everyone uses wizards, not everyone reads welcome screens or all the copy on a page. None of it was high enough on the visual hierarchy for me to notice.
My suggestion: The first time I unsubscribe from a feed in Feedly it needs to confirm that I understand the relationship between Feedly and Google Reader.
I was able to use feedly for the first time and immediately delete 50+ subscriptions with no ACTIVE disclosure or feedback from the application????
You cannot assume people read all the copy on the page. Tucking those kinds of warnings in welcome screens and wizards is a FATAL mistake. They need to be presented in the context of the potentially dangerous action (unsubscribing in my case).
Can you revert my Feedly data to the state it was in when I first imported it and then apply it google reader?
Thanks for the prompt response.
