About once a week I like to go to 'The Central' to check what's changed in the latest release. But there's no direct link. How about making the FreeAgent logo at the bottom of the page link to 'The Central'?

Make it possible to change invoice status from the list

At the moment, you have to click on individual invoices, wait for them to load, then click sent (or paid, or whatever), then wait for the page to reload, then click to go back to the list of invoices, then click on the next invoice whose status you want to change, and so on.

Any chance of doing this from the list in one simple maneouvre?

Simon, I would recommend giving the HRMC VAT helpline a call. I've called them numerous times, and found them to be really helpful. They'll answer pretty much any question you've got about VAT.

In a VAT return you need to be able to specify how much you bought from or supplied to other EC countries. However, I can't currently find a way of doing this. There doesn't seem to be any box I can tick on an invoice to say "This was a payment to Germany" for example.

What am I missing?

Hi Olly,

In general, the delay between clicking a link on the site, and something actually changing on the page seems to be quite long. But this might just be me being unrealistic about how fast a site 'should' feel. It doesn't feel particularly slow this morning. In fact, I can't remember ever having had a serious slow-down. I was just commenting on the 'feel' of the site in general.

This isn't a huge issue, but the site still feels a little bit slow to me. Are we likely to see any speed increases with future updates, or do I just need to get a better internet connection?

Any progress on this? I've been going through a batch of past transactions to set the VAT to 0% and it's taking me ages. Would really appreciate some batch editing features. (Well done on the latest update, by the way)

For example, today I'm looking for details of a computer purchase we made. I know it's in there, but I don't know what month it's in. I'd like to be able to type in 'computer' and have FreeAgent return any invoices which were categorised as computer-related, or had computer in the description. Is this likely to ever happen?

When creating a new invoice, I go to select the relevant client/project from the list, but it's a chore, because the list isn't grouped either by client name or by project name. With our 20+ projects, it takes me a while to find the right one.

It would be really helpful to have the projects sorted alphabetically by client name, and then within that by project name.

I'm trying to add an explanation for salary pay to one of our employees. I went to 'Payment to User', then selected him, but the only option it gave me was drawings.

Drawings refers to the withdrawal of money by the owner of a business. I just want 'salary'. Am I missing something obvious?

I think the first idea is a good one: 'write off unpaid amount'. For example, we have a client who underpaid us by £40 on one invoice. Not nothing, but we've given up trying to chase him, and he paid the other £500, so it's not the end of the world. I want a way to stop that invoice appearing at the top of the list. That feature would also sort out the tiny amounts which don't get paid.

We quite often get invoices which are underpaid by less than a pound. They clog up the top of the list of unpaid invoices in FreeAgent, making it more difficult to find the ones we care about: the ones where our clients owe us serious money.

Is there away of writing off the unpaid few pennies, without cancelling the entire invoice?
