Percolater asked a question in Apple on July 02, 2007 00:48:
What can I do to maximize the battery charge on my iPhone?I understand that different settings might affect how long the battery lasts. Are there some good rules of thumb that could guide how I use this phone under different conditions. For instance, the MacBook has different settings (e.g. Better Performance, Better Energy Savings), and I even have a custom setting that dims my screen to be barely visible for those times when I need to eek out every last minute of my battery life. It doesn't seem like there is an equivalent on the iPhone, or am I missing something?

My iPhone battery drains too much overnight! My battery was at least 50% full when I went to bed. I woke up 8 hours later (yes I slept in!) and the battery was almost dead. Is this because it's on wifi? Obviously I wasn't using it while I was sleeping. Is there a trick to maximizing the battery life?

They make the restocking fee clear when you buy it. Some people will accuse Apple of being vultures by charging the fee but you really can't blame them. There were so many scalpers buying these things and trying to sell them on ebay that they have to enforce this to create some monetary disincentive. Note they also had plenty of iPhones between their various stores--another key way to fight the scalpers.
From what I heard there were a lot of disappointed scalpers as they realized they weren't able to sell their iphones for a markup. Then was this woman, who has to be seen to be believed:

Won't the iPhone's beautiful screen get all scratched up?If it's anything like the iPod screen it won't last the afternoon in my pocket, what with keys and coins and other flotsam that ends up in there. (On the other hand, I've had Nokia phones with big screens that were suitably scratch-proof)

How do I get the Skitch pane to toggle between the transparent and non-transparent effect?I accidentally made it transparent while doing something. Then, somehow, it switched back. I'm just not sure how. It's a cool effect--I just want to be able to control it!

Typing "recall username" should return @username's last 5 twitters in IM or txtJust a little easter egg for us power users.

Tip from Tantek: Less than, greater than chars ('<' , '>') cost 4 characters not 1That's because HTML converts these to four character combos: < and >
