After a couple days of thought I have to chime back in on this topic. I know that Matt Mullenwag suggest one keeps the comment area after the existing comments but who is he to tell us how to run our blogs. Perhaps I am a blog and not a "social network cum media empire"!

I moderate all my comments anyways. If someone repeats what an existing comment says then I wont allow it.

Furthermore, Mullenwag doesn't even use IntenseDebate with his blog!

If this feature is not included in the next update then I will be abandoning IntenseDebate.

thanks for the update. I'll continue to use ID with the hopes that this feature does become an option.

Is there an option to have the comment textarea (and login) section be above the actual comments? Disqus offers this.
