A comment on the question "Is there a way to get Ubiquity to recognize URLs?" in Mozilla:
That sounds absolutely perfect, especially if Ubiquity recognizes "url" (yeah, I'm lazy that way ;) – -eric, on August 29, 2008 09:57

Username change: Twitpic doesn't post to TwitterI changed usernames on Twitter and Twitpic doesn't post anymore into my stream. The site allows me to login as e_eric but still shows me logged in as Surcapitaine. Anything I can do about it?

1, definitely, and also for URLs I never visited, I should be able to type for example www.getsatisfaction.com and get a new tab with said website. As a bonus, an autocomplete feature for extensions would be great.
Hope I'm making sense. Thanks anyway for the quick response!

Sorry, can you be more specific? Are you asking for:
1. Ubiquity should autocomplete URLs that you've visited before, if you type part of the URL as an argument to a command?
2. (for command developers) Ubiquity commands should be able to specify that they take URL as an argument type?
3. Both?
4. Something else?

Dietrich is working on commands to search your bookmarks, tags, and history.

Is there a way to get Ubiquity to recognize URLs?Ubiquity should really be able to recognize URLs, maybe with an option to automatically get extensions (.com, scroll dow, .net, scroll down, .org, etc.)
My two cents anyway =)

RSS problem in NetvibesHi there,
The RSS feed I set up in Netvibes doesn't keep me signed in - and there's no way to sign back in. Since I'm not going to install the feed every day, does anyone know how to fix this?
Other than that, I positively love Sandy. Can someone marry a web app? ;)

Herb replied on March 10, 2008 16:52 to the problem "RSS feed problem?" in TwitterNotes:
We could use rss feeds without authentication...like user name RSS feeds for both all feeds and tagged feeds.
I would rather have a twitternotes login that is tied to my twitter account once I login rather than just plugging in my twitter info. That way I could have an RSS feed for my login name.
Having an RSS feed without authentication is important because lets say i'm note taking a meeting and I want team members who are not in the meeting to see my notes. I don't want to give them authentication, i just want them to have my feed.
I mean, this would work great for conferences, sport games, etc.

As I answer on your previous post, we are experiencing hosting problems and unfortunately, there's little much we can do about them. They're most likely the cause for the erratic behavior.
But I promise that as soon as the service starts working normally, we'll do some tests with the RSS feeds on some clients and readers.
Again, we're sorry for any trouble caused and we hope you can fully enjoy TwitterNotes as soon as possible.
