A F's dashboard

My Inspiron 1525 (9 months old) will run on AC power but the battery will not charge.

Several times over the last month or two I have plugged it in and noticed that it was "plugged in, not charging". I have unplugged it and plugged it back in and it has started to charge normally. Today, no matter what, it just won't charge the battery.

Do I really need a new battery already? Geez... :(
