Bryan Waters replied on November 14, 2009 21:59 to the question "Unable to open program with my HERO" in pingdroid.com:
Have you linked your new installation of pingdroid with your ping.fm account? If not, login to ping.fm and get your mobile key from http://ping.fm/key/
Let me know if you have any issues with this process.

Bryan Waters replied on October 15, 2009 04:33 to the question "Updates?" in pingdroid.com:
Yes it is...very much so. The app has been rewritten to improve handling of volatile network connections and has several net features. The release had been delayed due to a coordinated effort with Ping.fm to address shortcomings of the mobile wireless network. These issues have been resolved and the final touches are being put on the interface now.
Any suggestions are always appreciated! Thanks for asking about Pingdroid.
Bryan Waters replied on September 11, 2009 03:35 to the problem "ping.fm site not available from my g1" in pingdroid.com:
There doesn't seem to be a problem with the site but I have personally had trouble accessing the site from my G1 before as well. This doesn't happen all the time but if you can get to a desktop computer, you can get your key and enter it get Pingdroid working. Give it a shot and let me know how it goes.

Bryan Waters replied on August 02, 2009 19:45 to the question "What email do I use to login?" in pingdroid.com:
Alexandria,
First you need to sign up for a ping.fm account at http://ping.fm/
Once you've done that, you will want to add one or more of your social networking sites to ping.fm
When you are ready, get your mobile key (http://ping.fm/key/) and use that enable pingdroid and you are ready to go.
If you have any trouble at any point, come back here and i'll be glad to help you!
Good luck!

Bryan Waters replied on June 22, 2009 19:34 to the question "Android (G1) Force Close PingDroid Issue when Uploading Photo to Facebook & Twitter" in pingdroid.com:
Brett, Thanks for taking the time to write this up.
1) do you have any other apps that are also force closing?
2) does Pingdroid force-close when the "app closer" is not running? Or can you try "excluding" pingdroid from the close list for your app closer?
3) around the time when Pingdroid started closing, what else happened to your phone? App installs? Any upgrades?
Aside from that, I can tell you that we are working on a dramatically improved version of Pingdroid that will be coming out in Beta soon. See the following announcement for details and for signing up for the beta if you are interested. We'd love to have you help us with this issue.

Bryan Waters replied on June 17, 2009 02:42 to the question "fail" in pingdroid.com:
Cynthia,
I hear about this on a few systems but we do have a large number of users who aren't experiencing these sort of issues...
A couple of questions.
1) do you have other apps that behave the same way?
2) do you have a large number of apps installed on your phone?
3) what version of the OS are you using? Use the following to get this info:
Home -> Menu -> Settings -> About Phone and look for the "Firmware Version".
4) do you have an SD card in your phone? If so, is it full?
5) Are you using a dev phone or a carrier provided phone?
I'm very sorry you are having the issues you are describing and if you would be willing too, we will work with you to resolve them but it may require some back and forth communication. One way or another, Pingdroid will evolve and become more feature rich and robust so please give us a chance again if you decide not to continue using the product.
Also, we are about to go into beta with a new version of Pingdroid that I definitely recommend if you are using the 1.5 version of the Android OS.
Thank you for your patience.

Bryan Waters replied on June 09, 2009 00:41 to the question "Corrupt/incomplete images triggering ping.fm updates" in pingdroid.com:
Ryan,
Like Sean mentioned, the photo posting issue you experienced this weekend was temporary and is now resolved.
Regarding the issue with Pingdroid sometimes posting broken images, that is a fix that is included in the upcoming cupcake release of Pingdroid. We are in the final stages of testing and are including a feature of the Ping.fm api that will hopefully fix once and for all the image posting issue with Pingdroid.
Thanks for your patience!
